Chapter 3 - Kidnapped Again

After I dropped off the kids at school, I went to work with a crowded mind. Coyle was a decent person; he couldn't just go to the hotel with a strip dancer.

And most importantly, I expected him to call me and explain such a situation, but nothing.

As I walked to my cubicle, I could feel a lot of gazes on me. They were either wondering why I showed up at work a day after my wedding or why my fiance was in a hotel with Manuella.

Either way, it was their thoughts, and I didn't give a fuck.

I got busy drawing a circle on a sheet of paper as I possibly couldn't concentrate, not after everything that was going on in my life right now.

My phone rang and I checked the caller, it was Cynthia my best friend who was also my cousin.

"Hello?"

"Yes, runaway bride, so because I didn't make it to your wedding, you decided to cancel it?" She teased me, and I rolled my eyes. Everyone knew how much I wanted to marry Coyle, so why will I ever cancel it?

"I was kidnapped by Yan Earlton," I explained. After all, she was like my mirror and knew every little detail about me.

"Which of them? The CEO of WG or the father of your kids?" She asked the most stupid question I ever heard, and then she burst out in laughter.

"I am sorry; I just can't believe that the CEO of WG is such an irresponsible and deceitful man. I am already at your apartment. Tell me everything tonight, okay?"

"Okay"

Then I hung up and pouted; today I wasn't in the mood to work. I received a call from the center downstairs: "Miss, someone is here to see you," she informed me, then I hung up.

Yan? Please, it better not be him or else I was going to explode. I picked up my bag and went downstairs, Coyle stood there with a bouquet and a smile plastered on his face.

Why was he here? I rolled my eyes as he walked to me. "Did you miss your way? This isn't the way to Manuella's," I said sarcastically, and he shoved the flower at me.

"Don't tell me you believe such rumors; who is Manuella?" He raised a brow, and I chuckled.

"Let's go out; I am sure you didn't have a meal this morning," he suggested, and I shook my head. I still had to prepare the entertainment news for Monday; why wasn't there any celebrity scandal to write about?

Then my phone signaled a new message; I checked, and it was from an unknown contact, which read.

[I wouldn't want to kidnap you again.]

I scanned the place and couldn't spot anyone who looked like him. Was he watching me right now?

"You know what? I am starving. Let's go!" I clung to Coyle's arm as we walked out of the company and went to his car.

Was I begging to be kidnapped by Yan? No

I just wanted him to know that he played no role in my life and didn't have any right to tell me what to do or who I should approach.

"About yesterday, do you want to talk about it?" Coyle asked, and I was confused. What was I going to tell him? I was kidnapped by my ex, who claimed me as his property.

"I woke up at home, so I have no idea." I lied so abruptly, and he had doubts in his eyes.

We arrived at the restaurant and were about to walk down when two men suddenly rose from the backseat. Next thing I knew, a tissue was being pressed on my nose.

**

I slowly opened my eyes as I felt the wind blush over my face. My gaze moved to the left, and I saw Yan's face.

I jolted and hit my head above the car. He was driving, and I was in the car as well. When did I get here?

"Yan!!!" I screamed angrily, What sought of man was this? He had kidnapped me again, then my gaze moved to the clock, and it was already 9 p.m.

"You are awake, sleeping beauty," he chuckled, and I noticed he parked his car in front of my apartment.

I retracted my phone to dial the cops when I noticed it was switched off. "Did you wake up because of the kiss I gave you?" he asked, and I touched my lips.

I wiped my lips angrily. "How dare you... What is wrong with you, Yan?"

"Why do you do this to me? Can you stop already?" I pushed the door and stepped down as he went after me.

"I really didn't mean to take you again, just that you were going out with another man."

"My fiance, Yan, that man is my fiance, and I have every right to go out with him," I scolded, and he wrapped his hand around my waist as I tried to free myself.

"Calm down, baby, I know okay... You are angry, and your anger is justified. But you are mine; you can't be with someone else," he explained, and I laughed. Did he just say I was his?

"In your dreams," I snorted. Then I spotted a pair of eyes staring at us, and we were in such a position.

"Baby," I called in disbelief. I hoped he wouldn't have the wrong impression seeing that Yan was holding me so closely.
