The thoughts wanders as the Curiosity splatter,
Between those answers, What is the truth behind those stutters?
With such Gossips and gospels, What truly does deceive the eyes?
Is it really a dance of deception Or ways of warnings beyond times?
Between beliefs and makeshift stories
Will he find the truth that lies?
Or will he find the lies that pretends to be valid?
Nonetheless, the choice he has is also the cause of the results he'll have.
"Fallaces sunt rerum species" The appearance of things are deceptive,
Therefore everything that can be truth will be used as deception.
Then will truth become lies and lies become truth?
"Fallendi Usus Inter Mendacium At Veritatem Occurit"
Pertinax wanders the harsh cold city, Still uncomfortable due to the fact he doesn't feel cold nor shivering through the winter tides, he hears nothing but his own shoes rumbling through the pile of snows, he sees nothing but empty buildings an crystalized ice. The snowflakes befall before him endlessly, no sign of stopping it seems as the dark clouds cover the sun itself.
"My god where is everybody?" He ask as he kept wandering through the ghost city. "Planes... Military vehicle, and citizen vehicle froze in place..." He muttered as he sees the crystalized crashed planes and vehicles wrecked havoc in their place.
Pertinax still tries to see if there are survivors but to no avail, he couldn't find one... Till the dawn of the sun, he found nothing but ice here and there... "This is city is a wreck already..." He finds shelter through a building, he tries to turn on the lights but it won't turn on.
"What shall I do now? Stuck on a icy place with nothing but crystalized ice." He looked around and saw a basement, he went in and saw an generator and gas fuels beside it. "Great, Light at darkest time." He went on to activate the generator... He could only turn on the lights on the basement.
"At the very least, I have some light..." He mutters, after a while his stomach rumbled, clearly signifying his hunger. "Dang it, Hunger at worst time possible... Well, I'm human after all." He sighs and looked around to see rations of canned tomato soup at the shelf... "The owner of this place must stacked up supplies but clearly as obviously, he vanished in this random storm... Or curse?"
He took one can of tomato soup and ate it, Below the tomato soups, there was water bottles. "Well, I could survive with this at the very least that I know... Maybe around... Let me see.." He counted the bottles and cans, there was an exact of 10 soup of cans and 11 water bottles. "If i could save up and preserve things I think about... a year?" He mutters.
He finished eating a portion of the can. "I'll preserve this for the morning." He said as he closed the can of soup and stored it back, he drank a little portion of the water bottle just to ease up his dehydration. He sat on the wooden chair and rethinks of the event, trying to remember anything.
"What could have happen? Since when I've become unconscious... Why am i at the plaza at the first place, am I at the hole first?" He mutters, many questions were left pending... A voice out of nowhere echoed.
"It's your fault... Pertinax Svobodin" The voice echoed through his head. "Who is that? What Are you?" He looked around trying to see the source of the sound "You don't need to know Pertinax, I'm always watching you... And I'm here to guide you... You desire to live right? Surrender yourself already, there's nothing left to see in a left out cold city." The voice chuckled as Pertinax tries to calm himself.
"Am I losing my sanity here? Goddamn it, Show yourself!" He shouted as he tries to get anxious. "Heh, See for yourself, am I truly someone? Or am I something? Nonetheless... I know everything you did." The voice laughed as Pertinax Slowly losses his sane. "Stop fooling around! What are you! Where are you!" He shouted in desperation.
"Keh Keh Keh... Between Consciousness and Imagination, I am here and here only to watch you... I'll watch befall... Because I was here before everything." the voice chuckled and slowly faded away. Pertinax grabbed the chair and smashed it at the wall. "F**K, Damn it! What do you mean by those?! What do you mean You were here before everything?! Speak up! Tell me!" He shouted as his voice echoes throughout the basement but to no avail, he was just talking to himself
Pertinax just cried in the corner as he holds his head down, trying to calm himself down... What was that voice? What just it said that It was there before everything?" Is it related to the current crisis? Is it related to the icy plains? Is it related to the disappearance of humanity in this city?
Pertinax cried through the whole night, trying to understand the concept of it's word, yet he only created questions and questions rather than answers. He slowly losses his mind due to being left alone at a city full of ice only. He fell asleep from thinking.
