...

September 24, 19XX. Emily was gathering herbs at the outskirts of the kingdom, the sky seemed unusual, it was grey like smoke, thunder and lightning can be heard from the north, Emily was at the mountains, she can see the whole kingdom and also the plain lands at the other side.

The gale from the north was cold, a different wind in contrast of the normal wind of the south, being simply just a normal breeze.

"It's freezing, this doesn't normally happens..."

Emily didn't bought her thicker cloak, she quickly wrapped everything up and left the mountain to go home.

...

The wind breeze seems to be colder than ever, even the residents were confuse since it's the unusual gale of the year and it's far from winter.

"What the? Why is it called all of the sudden?" "It feels like the snow itself" "Is this a sign?"

The people's murmur to each other, Emily returned to the shop, with the herbals.

"Mom, Dad, I'm Home!"

She shouted at the front door while taking off her boots. The mother was at the counter, preparing some herbs.

"Come in and rest, your father is upstairs in the bedroom, taking his sleep. The wind seems cold today, Isn't, Emily?"

The mother asked while having her low smile.

"Yeah, it truly is, It's unusual to have this kind of temperature, it's not even winter yet."

Emily responded with a positive tone.

"By the way mom, I bought the needed herbs, let me help you first before I rest."

Emily went to the counter to help her mother grind some herbs to be put in the jar. The mother thought of an idea, since the cold breeze is starting to occur, she thought of something.

"How about we make some medicine for colds?"

The mother asked Emily, Emily nods in return.

"Sure, Mom. You have a point since the temperature is so cold."

The Girls grinded some medicine for cold for the whole day...

...

Second day, the mother's instinct was right, the demand for cold medicine was so high. Emily was shocked to see the fast drain of the medicine, it's clear, many people suffered from catching the cold, the cold breeze hasn't stop since the time it started.

"The wind doesn't seem to stop..."

Emily grunts while looking at the window. The father was sitting on the tables, reading his newspaper.

"The news is clearly fake this days. The northern Kingdom is on war with the northwest, and before the day yesterday, everything was on ice. That's clear as dirty tricks to make me buy worthless papers."

The father clicked its tongue while turning some pages in the newspaper.

"Well, sometimes news are desperate for people to buy their works."

Emily gave a low chuckle. The father looked at her and gave a small smile as he sips on his coffee.

"Well, you could say that. Where's your mother by the way?"

The father asked. Emily thinks for a little with a little hum.

"She gone out to buy something from the local market."

Emily grinned at her father his father looked at Emily.

"You know, despite your age, you act childish, break a leg, grow up."

The father chuckled as he continued to read his newspaper

"Hey!"

Emily pouts at her father, in annoyance she just grabs the cloth rug and cleaned the windows.

"Stop treating me like a kid"

She exclaimed while keeping a pout. The father just chuckled at her.

...

After a while, the mother got home with the groceries she have from the market.

"The cold breeze was so... Intense, the snow kept filling up."

The mother exclaimed, the father then approached her to grab the bag from her bag

"It's strange since we're at the south, usually we will have great sunny days."

The father responded.

Emily was humming at the window, watching the endless snow fall.

"Mom, why is it snowing?"

Emily asked.

"You're already 18 above, you should know."

The mother chuckled while sorting the groceries she have.

"I studied herbs and medicine, not witchcraft or rocket science."

Emily pouts. The mother chuckled at her, as well as the father himself enjoyed the view of his mother and daughter.

Emily looked at her father.

"What's with the looks, dad?"

Emily chuckled, her mother looked at her father, seeing the warm smile.

"Nothing, it's just that, I have achieved what most man failed to have. A perfect family."

Everyone laughed and chuckled, the father was grateful to have a positive and cheerful family and happy life.
