Chapter Forty-Three:
Seraphina's POV
There's something called respecting opinions, and clearly, this young man didn't know it. I'd accept that sometimes I crossed the line, but I wouldn't openly tell someone their identity was disgraceful.
"It's truly not your business indeed. Why are you here anyway? Did Hardin throw you out or what?" I noticed his fist clench, and I wondered if I was right.
"They can't throw me out. Watch what you say."
He sounded really serious, and I shifted my seat from him. Hardin Pack in Canada. It's really not my business, so I should just forget about it.
"Don't stare at me then."
"I wasn't."
"Good."
The other students arrived, and so did the teacher later. I did my best to concentrate despite the rising annoyance I felt because that young boy kept stealing glances at me. Well, it had already been settled that he found me disgraceful, so keeping his head forward was the natural thing to do.
