Chapter 10 - Tantrums

Chapter Ten

Percy's POV

I took out my phone to call but I sighted Liam on the second floor. He had changed his hair style to something atrocious again, but it left his heterochromia eyes visible so I commend him for it.

"The lead is a female." He said when I got to his floor. He really didn't know how to give proper formalities.

"It doesn't change anything. Do I look like my mother?" I looked him over then opened the next door to my right. A lead was a lead and she wouldn't get beaten up if she wasn't suspected of something or tried to resist capture.

Though, to be fair, the capture was plainly kidnap till we got answers but many suspects never called the police afterwards, because there had been good reason to suspect them.

The boys moved away from the corner where the lead laid on the ground. Their heads were lowered as I walked between them to the plump lady sobbing on the ground. I flung my unbuttoned shirt back and stooped down.

My brows knitted together when I saw how busted her lips were. No wonder Liam wanted me to talk to her the next day. I ignored it and asked. "Do you have relationships with one Mr. Kelvin? What type of business did you do with him between the first of November and the eight?"

She only sobbed and tried to release her hands tied behind her back. I moved closer. "Make this easy for you and I. You can at least nod and mumble something." I already gestured for Liam to get closer.

As his shadow loomed over her, she began trembling, mumbling incoherently. A smirk came to my face and I asked again. "Do you know Mr. Kelvin? What did he come to do with you during the first week of November?"

Tears streamed through her eyes as she tried to speak through her fat broken lips. I bent my ears to hear her and I noticed Liam did the same. Seeing Liam get closer, she pushed her body backwards and kept mumbling.

It seemed we wouldn't be getting any information from her today. Her excuse might be her lips. "It'd have healed by tomorrow, no?" I left where I stooped.

Liam nodded. "She is a hunter ranked wolf so it'd definitely be healed by tomorrow morning."

Tomorrow morning? He had already given me a date to report to base. Sometimes he acted like my own boss. "Nice buzzcut. Suits you."

There was no reaction on his face but as he calmly nodded again, I assumed he appreciated my compliment – that I did not mean.

I took one last look at the trembling woman. I'd like to get it over with before my mother would get out of her own break. She was really sensitive to women in tears and had no strand of gender equality in her blood.

"What is the situation report with Luke?" I asked about Liam's brother, who currently guarded the Zen's house.

Liam looked up. "Yeah, I called minutes back and he said one Seraphina Jones dropped by asking for Mrs. Evelyn. Should I deploy men to go search for the imposter?"

I shook my head. So that little Miss went that far? I could bet Luke didn't even believe she was the heiress. He would know Miss Jones but not her daughter.

I've met many rich girls and they had a standard sophistication, but that little Miss might never get it if she kept on being a pack runt.

Consequences of that, the shareholders of Xexi wouldn't accept her and what use would her title as heiress do for her? I waved my hand dismissively.

"She actually is Seraphina Jones. She's currently at my mansion as we speak. The true heiress of Xexi."

Panic flashed in Liam's eyes, which was quite unusual for him. "So... did my brother do something wrong because I think he dismissed her or spoke rudely—"

I placed a hand on his shoulder so he'd calm down. "She's not one bit scary." I remembered how she glared daggers into my body on the way. "Not that scary anyway. Luke was obviously doing his job so I'd definitely protect him if she wants to make a tantrum."

Also she had found the company afterwards so it wasn't like her search was in vain. Liam regained his composure and nodded. "I'd give my greetings to her this evening."

It wasn't necessary but I allowed it. I had to protect all of Luther's family member because that best friend of mine had a very fragile mental health, it had been that way since his father's death and I wanted to support anyway I could.

Downstairs, I called a butler to begin preparations for the little miss to go to her pack and take her things. I also told him to make arrangements to sell her very old jeep and take that thing off my property. A security guard had driven it back with us.

The Lamborghini came back for me and I alighted. It was time for my TV shows and I enjoyed them, while thinking of how to cultivate the Heiress energy into that little runt.

"S-Sir?"

My driver called.

I glanced at him and back to the television. "What is it?"

"Second called about a room issue at the mansion. Apparently, the new guest wanted a big room that she could transfer almost everything in the house at and argued that she'd get her own place... if that's... not provided."

His words slowed down as I glared at him, but he wasn't the one I wanted to scold right now. She had the spoilt brat energy of a heiress, at least. I rubbed my face and nodded.

"We are getting home so I'd arrange that. I haven't even parked into my own room yet so the butlers should be less busy when I get there."

The driver nodded and I continued my show in peace. When we arrived at the mansion, I walked in with the two butlers outside, Second and Fourth. They were named by the order they became the Lennon Family Butlers. "She is still throwing a tantrum?'

"Yes." Second replied with lowered head.

A huge sigh left me.
