Chapter Ninety-Four: Wait, Wait, What?
Seraphina's POV
I sat in the car, listening to songs on my phone until I exhausted my small playlist. An exasperated sigh escaped me. Where the hell was Percy?
So much for a hangout, and he left me here.
I leaned slightly against the door and nearly fell out. It was open! Second had been the one sitting beside me earlier, so he probably left it ajar for ventilation.
"Thank you, handsome," I muttered, stepping out of the car with a proud grin. But the grin faltered almost immediately, and the freedom felt wasted since I couldn't just go inside.
I understood why Alpha Shawn couldn't see me, but I didn't understand the reasoning behind it. It had been confirmed that he wasn't connected to Hardin and was actually a victim.
"I should text Second and ask if I can come in," I said to myself, already typing out the message. What contributions could I even make anyway? Seconds later, his reply came through.
