Chapter Ninety-Two: Permission
Percy's POV
I woke up in a sour mood after my conversation with First last night. My eyes went to the tray of food on the table that I hadn't touched.
I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to wash my face. That crazy man shouldn't have had an effect on me after all these years. Or was it what he said? I tried to brush it off and focus on the things I had to do today. Maybe I could squeeze in the outing with the little miss since I forgot to tell her last night.
It would be disappointing to cancel this morning, especially since she'd likely be waking up early to prepare. I washed up quickly and was ready at the dining table by the time the cooks started bringing out Luther's meal. Luther kept giving me sidelong glances from across the table.
