Chapter Seventy-Three: Notice Me! II
Percy's POV
I stayed at the door, resting behind it. I didn't want to tell my mother what to do with her own body, and it would be good for her if she didn't have to suffer every year because of that. But First's suggestion was only due to his dislike for my father, and I couldn't tolerate it.
I wouldn't have expected my mafia-bred mother to become a model and win the heart of a billionaire heir like my father. A novel-worthy romance, honestly. Well, it happened, and I was a result of that union. Dead or alive, I'd still want my mother to have a connection to her mate, because in these times, it was very rare to find one's mate and be able to stay with them.
Then I heard her chuckle, and my worries dissipated. I already knew what her answer would be now.
"That's a lot of thinking you've been doing there, and I'm happy it's for my sake," she started.
I heard someone hit First, and I knew it would be Liam.
