Chapter Fifty-Two: Calmest Yet Panicky
Seraphina's POV
I wished I knew how to flirt.
I'd make Rachael feel so uncomfortable being around us, and she'd understand a piece of what she did to me three years in the future. That didn't make sense, I know.
Alpha Shawn released my hand and leaned back on the car again. "What class is it?" He completely ignored Rachael, who made a short bow to him before sitting in the car.
I'd have been satisfied with him just ignoring her because he was talking to me, but now he was asking more questions. This was more than the simple 'hi' I had planned.
"Um... same as the quiet girl. I'm a new student here."
His eyes darted to Rachael for a split second when I mentioned 'quiet girl.' I wondered if she was different back at the pack. "What pack are you from?" he asked again.
It was starting to feel more like an interrogation, and I just needed Third to pop up from somewhere and save me.
