- You flea-ridden bastard!!! Bitch!!!

In the blink of an eye, the ogre reached me and closed its jaws on my chest! Its teeth, like a rigid machine, painfully dug into my flesh, tearing everything that can and cannot be torn, squeezed, squeezing out of me a broth of blood with former organs. And I hung off the ground! My body stiffened as if pulled by an invisible switch, my eyes blurred, and there was a tangible trail of tears on my cheeks; my arms, as well as the rest of my limbs, sagged. And I was flooded with pain! I was in so much pain! I wanted to sob and scream, but all that came out of my mouth was a hoarse croak.

Resentment and fear swept over my mind.

- Kha-a-a-ah!

Blood spurted from my mouth. My vision blurred, and I felt myself being shaken in different directions, which made the pain especially sharp. Something clicked in my head, and my eyes went black. His jaw clenched harder, causing me to spit up copious amounts of blood. My vision completely faded and blurred, I was about to feel my death and was ready to die, but I was still alive!

I don't know how I hadn't lost consciousness yet, but it was as if the ogre was deliberately enjoying my agony, clenching my jaw and unclenching it. I'm pretty sure I lost a lot of blood, not counting the mush of organs.

I knew I couldn't live with such wounds... but I didn't want to die and clung to the only bright ray in my mind! I just didn't want to die like that! But fate was adamant....

I'm going to die, no matter how! If not from the jaws of a rabbit, then from loss of blood and everything else.....

My fluttering was useless... The rabbit's grip was ironclad! My body wouldn't listen.

*cough*

Time stopped, as if in slow motion, but my pain continued... The ogre was savouring the moment... and feasting on the successful moment of the hunt.

I-' My head jerked to the side, another pitiful croak escaping from my mouth.

The ogre's red eyes glistened as if in a sneer, and he closed his jaws, sinking his teeth deep into my flesh.

Don't...

Blood began to ooze profusely from me, as if it was being squeezed out....

I want...

*Crunch* - in another burst of pain, my bones cracked.

Something crunched. The hobgoblin's lower half slowly fell off part of its body and flopped into a pool of blood with a sickening sound.

Dying...

His body twitched in spasms. It was as if the last drops of life were leaving his body! And it was this moment that the ogre savoured. He was sure that his prey was finally in his grasp, and he could enjoy the fear and despair of his prey! He was so flooded with the euphoria of excitement and contentment that he involuntarily relaxed. After all, he is a predator! He is strong and cunning! Foolish goblins are nothing to him! But...

- Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!

The hobgoblin screamed in a fierce voice, he himself turned grey as if he had aged for years, and his arm lit up with a red glow and came to life in its last dash!

With a lightning fast punch I hit the ogre's red eye, smashing through its skull. The rabbit simply didn't have time to react to the change and died an instant death. Too bad it was so quick. I wanted to take all my fear, along with my pain and resentment, out on him! But what isn't, isn't. The rabbit staggered from side to side. The only eye of the rabbit, full of amazement, stared at me, and then covered with a mist and instantly faded. At the same time, his grip on my jaw loosened, and I fell gravitationally into a pool of my own blood.

- A hoarse groan escaped me, and my body stiffened, cold and weak with almost insignificant pain.

Thoughts flickered sluggishly in my head and became confused. I was slowly dying... even too slowly.

The cold... I could feel the intense cold. My vision was gradually being obscured by darkness....

I didn't want to die. Even though I knew I could occupy another body... But even so, it was very unpleasant, and that's putting it mildly. It was not an instant death, but a long and painful one, with a full bouquet of feelings! It's a miracle I didn't die of fear and surprise.

*♪ Boom ♪

There was the thud of a body falling. Something or, rather, someone had fallen next to me... And in my head... there was a sound familiar to me....

*♪ Zing, zing, zing ♪

A postmortem sound...

...

The glade turned red. Puddles of hobgoblin and ogre blood mixed into a single substance. The two foes had killed each other. Only the transparent figure of the hobgoblin stood next to the ogre's corpse.

...

The cold... gone is that piercing chill.

I am a ghost again.

Bitterness and rage filled my heart.

Being next to my mangled corpse with a grimace of despair and pain, and the corpse of the ogre, I felt bitterness and rage! I felt sorry for myself! Or rather, I felt sorry for my body! I... got used to it and didn't think I'd die so soon... and then there was that nasty and sticky fear of death and despair!

And rage... I was angry with myself! For my carelessness! I thought I'd escaped! Ha, idiot! I'd neglected caution, and this was the result! I was near the river and I could have washed the smell off!

And the pain of my organs being torn apart! I'm not a masochist. I just don't want to do it again. I just don't want to! Just remembering that pain... makes me want to run away... to forget and shrink and cry into my waistcoat, but there's no one. I've never felt like this before in my life and it's a real buzzkill. I thought - since I'm a hitman with the system, no one can kill me, because I'm a foreigner and a cunning bastard, a favourite of luck, with pianos from the bushes and in general MC! I was walking through the woods like I was in some park! But fuck it, I got caught, and fell on a serious opponent! I experienced pain, fear and despair inexpressible in words! I was on my deathbed and felt the whole bouquet of 'death', and I don't want to experience it twice! It's just fucked up! Even Gobs seemed like a merciful man compared to the rabbit, the kindest of men!

'Bitch,' I kicked my corpse, but my foot legitimately went through the useless corpse. With a glance in my peripheral vision, I noticed the transparent arms and legs shaking, and my chest heaving frantically, as if my lungs were short of air.

I touched my chest, but no - my heart wasn't beating, even though it seemed otherwise. I took a couple of deep breaths and exhaled - it felt a little easier and my thoughts stopped racing.

'Fuck adventure! I'd say, and run away, but fuck it - I'm a bloody goblin! A monster despised by all races - a GOBLIN! Why can't I be an orc?!' - I grabbed my head in indignation and continued kicking the corpse, swearing at who knows who, just to let off steam, so to speak.

And that, after half an hour, helped, and I was able to think soberly, though I was still shivering along with a nervous tic.

'It's a little easier already. So... but from now on we need to bust our arse, but not die! I was careless, and have incurred a price for my careless attitude towards things! I'm not an MC hero! I don't have pianos and I'm not an experienced survivalist! In fact, why was I cheering like a child? Where the hell is my fear and sense of self-preservation?' - With a thoughtful look, my gaze travelled over the ogre. Or rather, what I had managed to pick up after waking up as a ghost! In my hand, previously unseen by me, was a transparent and faintly glowing orb! I would have noticed it if I hadn't been so angry at the corpse!

Now there was an incomprehensible thing in my transparent hands, and I, suddenly, began to feel a strange hunger while holding this strange ball in my hands.

How I could feel hunger in a ghostly form, I didn't know, and where it came from, too. But subconsciously, for some reason, I wanted to devour it. To bring it to my chest... and devour it!

Eat it!

Something inside me clicked once again. My hands stopped obeying me and my thoughts became too bloodthirsty. And I brought the balloon to my heart and...

My chest transformed into a scary, toothy maw with tentacles! A maw, which had many small and pointed teeth and thin tentacles that quickly braided the white balloon and pulled it into itself, devouring it in the blink of an eye! And then it disappeared just as it had appeared!

'What the fuck?' - With bulging eyes I squinted at my breasts, but nothing....
