Once upon a time, in the days when the stars in the sky were fewer than the current one....

The gods of light, order and fate competed with the gods of darkness, chaos and chance to see who would rule the world. But the outcome was decided not by a hard battle, but by a simple roll of the dice.

Or, to be more precise, a hundred and a thousand rolls. Again and again they rolled the dice.

There were victories as well as defeats, but the end of this fight was still far off.

Finally the Gods grew tired of rolling the dice themselves. And soon they created for themselves a multitude of creatures who were destined to become their chips in the world that was the field of their game. Humans, elves, dwarves and ogres; goblins, ogres, trolls and demons, and many others.

In their adventures they sometimes achieved great victories and sometimes fell victim to terrible defeats. They found treasure, found their happiness, and in the end, they died.

And somewhere in the unknown. In a place immensely distant, yet surprisingly close, stood a wooden table and two chairs.

It was a room, white and ordinary. Here time flows by different rules, and the local deities play the dice of fate.

*The dice fell on the table and the goddess clucked her tongue in annoyance.

- Ho-ho-ho, I told you not to be so reckless,' the voice of a deity was heard somewhere. It was hard to tell what gender it was, for its voice was distorted. But one thing was clear: it was having fun.

The goddess said nothing, silent, but the space itself had obviously grown heavier. And with good reason.

Recently, her pawn that was supposed to follow the path the goddess had devised had been completely erased, and the figure itself had simply disappeared - without a trace. The plan that the goddess had devised had completely failed, and now she was depressed at such an annoyance.

The goddess picked up the dice and threw them on the world map again. Biting the tip of her tongue as she did so, watching the dice slowly slow down.

*Rumble, rumble, rumble* But the dice don't care about the gods' will. No matter how hard they try. No magic, no cheating - all those tricks just didn't work, and cheating could get you, very painful to get you.

The goddess had heard stories of the local gods, how one goddess 'Gaea' had tried to cheat at the game and had been cruelly punished. Now she is gone from the divine plane of existence. No one knows where she disappeared to.

Now all she has to do is play the game and hope that luck is on her side.

- Eh-heh. - Her companion sighed sullenly as he watched the dice fall onto the table. - Lucky you.

Indeed, on the world map, her adventurers were able to survive and complete the quest.

The goddess rose happily from her chair and her veil opened, revealing a beautiful, joyful face with blue hair and the same eyes, the colour of the clear ocean.

The game was over, and unfortunately for her companion, the player was in no hurry to get up from his chair. Its figure and face were hidden under strange flashes of darkness, and it was hard to tell if it had a form. However, it did not sit still and prepared new adventurer figures, trying again.

This time, it was confident that it would be able to get even. The new pawns would definitely be able to fulfil the quest.

At least, that's what it thought and hoped.

No matter how much time passed, it would wait.

It wouldn't be a Time Lord if it didn't get the upper hand on that silly goddess....
