I didn't return to the cave until the evening, tired but satisfied. During this short period of time, I raised the level to the third (for the second level I was given ten points, I was even glad that I would become a nagibator at such a rate, but after getting the third - gave only five), ate three rabbit carcasses, and, you can say, I was fed and satisfied. Got the skill 'hunter' and raised it to level two. Raised the level of 'omnivore' to the second and 'stealth' to the third.
But it wasn't all that easy. My body was covered with small scars, and one finger on my right hand was missing. It hurt like hell, especially when the rabbit chewed it off!
Well, nothing, after I killed the hornbill, his corpse was sadistically eaten and his own horns were sticking out of his own arse. Too bad he was dead at this point, but that'll do.
I got my aesthetic pleasure out of it too, oddly enough... and, I'm ashamed to admit it, I even got a hard-on... at that age. Well, at least I can say I'm not that small.
Goblin blood and its consequences immediately came to mind. By the way, I was holding a homemade spear... or something like it. An ordinary stick with sharp rabbit horns taped to the end. It looked like a plunger, but if you plug it, you can kill the same goblin, I hope.
And now for the best part of the day, I got the regeneration skill! After my finger was bitten off by a rabbit, I somehow stopped the blood, and foolishly, rather more intuitively, poured mana into my finger and thus got the skills 'regeneration' and 'mana control'!
However, regeneration is very weak - level one. I expected to see at least a sprout in the place of the finger, but I didn't see anything like that, which confirmed the ineffectiveness of the first level of the skill. The mana control skill was very useful though, and following the chain, I got the 'body enhancement' skill with mana control!
'Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!'
All I have to do is pour mana into any part of a limb, and that limb... poured a bit of strength, which easily allowed me to snap the neck of a captured rabbit - which isn't easy if it's healthy and alive. First level, what can I do? For example, if I channel mana into my legs, I'll run a little faster and jump a little more skilfully. Same with my arms, they'll be stronger. However, this skill eats mana like crazy, I'm enough for a minute of battle, and pop - no mana. But I tried not to bring myself to this. For along with the mana leaving, I felt very lousy: depression, melancholy and sleepiness that pressed on my shoulders and said: 'Go to sleep, goblin.'
In general, it is desirable to use only with a full reserve. Thirty seconds of amplification, and it's better to stop using it! And after all, it's only on certain parts of the body and not full on the whole carcass! Anyway, I've already developed a tactic to use this ability, to strengthen my arm during the strike. It was awkward at first, but I had all day, and I got the hang of it. Pretty simple, isn't it?
Hmm, what else. Oh yeah, the 'evaluation' skill, as luck would have it, didn't get its level. It still only tells me the type of target and its danger! Which is certainly disappointing...
Oh well, I've got more important things to do right now!
I have fifteen characteristic points just waiting for me to put them into stats. And I've already decided where to put them.
So, making sure no one was coming after me, I leaned against the wall and placed the rabbit carcasses next to me, clutching my spear with both hands in case I was attacked.
'Put one point into strength!' - Preparing myself for the pain, I even squeezed my eyes shut.....
...
'What?' Hmm, no pain... I don't feel like eating either... Then.
'Put three points into strength.'
...
Nothing again... No pain, no hunger either... Strange, I was expecting something else... Okay, since there's nothing, it's safe to invest the points. It's a shame, though, I was running around the forest with unallocated stats like a moron! I could have raised my level to level five if I wasn't afraid....
'Oh, I'm an idiot...'
'Put five points into intelligence, three points into stamina and three points into agility.'
As soon as I mentally said that and distributed the characteristics, a terrible drowsiness swept over me, sleep wanted to be just unrealistically strong...
'Bitch...,' my eyelids closed, and I fell into a dream....
* * *
Goblin Urkma.
Now this individual was sitting in the cave and was jerking his shaft with both hands, imagining a female! Not so long ago, he lived in a cave full of fellow goblins, and they had many females to put on their shafts, but... a strange man came, all in steel skin and with a sharp pick - many goblins had been killed by his sharp thing.
Yes, he still remembers that moment and wants revenge! After all, there are no females now! Only Urkma and his brother Urka, and another small goblin that followed them then, were able to escape from the terrible man!
Now they live in a small cave with very, very little space! But Urkma has recently realised that he has become stronger, and his brother is now shorter! So he is now the boss of the cave and can give orders!
And now Urkma is plotting his revenge. But he's not very good at it. No females, no brothers, no food! Even the little goblin who went out to hunt hasn't returned yet - he must be dead....
- Ugmaa!!! - groaned the goblin, staining the wall with his seed, and smiled contentedly.
Yes, he realised it was a waste of time, but he didn't know why he was doing it! After all, he had never tried out a single female in his life! And that's very sad and disappointing.....
*Sniff, sniff* Suddenly Urkma smelled meat, and his stomach rumbled, demanding food. His mouth filled with saliva and his head was filled with thoughts of nothing but food. Rising from the floor, he wandered like an enchanted man towards the smell, until he met a goblin lying there, who was covered in scars....
But Urcm didn't care about that, as he spotted a mountain of horned rabbits and began to devour the meat he found.
*Chawk-chawk-chawk-chawk* sinking his teeth into the meat and drinking the blood. He ate the meat until his stomach was filled to the brim. Urkma was satisfied, he smiled and, picking up the rest of the rabbit carcasses under his arm, he turned around and wandered back to his cave...
As for the goblin that lay there? He wasn't interested...
