Chapter 27 - The first game result sheet

Alex was used to their antics. He laughed at the scene for a while and then closed the door.

He turned around, looked at the empty bottles scattered around his house, and sighed. Not caring much about them, he just used his leg to sweep all the trash to the side. He was in no mood to clean today.

He just jumped on his bed and took out his phone.

This party helped him calm his tense nerves, and now he was ready to check his account.

He opened the Hunt 5 app and saw multiple notifications on his profile.

At a glance, he realized those were mostly from his new followers.

After his first game, he already had 29 followers. It wasn't that good, but still better for a nobody like him, considering everything on his profile was blank, so all of this came after his game.

He checked for any income but sighed when he saw just a few cents.

There were few ways for players to earn money directly from the game.

First, they would gain a certain percentage of the winning gambling amount. This percentage depended on the type of game you were playing.

For example, the winning percentage for trial games was 0.1 percent. So, if some viewer won a hundred dollars by betting on him, he would gain 10 cents. It wasn't a big number, but at higher levels, these numbers would increase.

In ranked games, he knew he would even start earning money by targeting other hunters. There was no such feature for trial games, as there was a restriction on attacking other hunters in all trial games.

The second way to earn was by simply betting on yourself. Hunt 5 allows players to bet a certain amount on themselves if they want. It was just an automatic process since nobody knew when their game would start, so they could not bet on their opponents.

The last direct way was through donations. The viewers could send a direct message to their player for some money.

Even though it started as a way for viewers and hunters to interact with one another, it soon became the best way to earn direct money from Hunt 5.

Now, these were just three direct ways. There were many indirect ways, like brand promotions and deals.

All the top players had billions of followers on their social media, and brands paid these people millions of dollars to promote their stuff.

These were the reasons so many people were mad about the game. After all, even if you did not win, you could still earn a lot just from becoming high-level hunters.

Alex shook his head and closed the income tab, as there were no direct messages for him.

This was common since he did not promote himself on social media, nor did he want to, as he knew if others knew about his past, things might become messy again, which he wanted to avoid.

He tapped on his points section. There were only 100 points on his profile.

He could spend these coins in the shop to purchase some skills, but for that, he needed to pass all three trials. These points were the reason everyone needed to grind in trials, as the fewer points he earned would affect the skills he could purchase before his ranked games.

He rubbed his forehead, knowing he messed up his first chance by earning the bare minimum.

Alex shook his head and tapped on his game section. There was already a 30-minute summary of the first trial game alongside the result report of the game.

He tapped on the result.

Two hunter apprentices died during the game.

10 points reward for killing the other infected dogs. (This was a one-time reward.)

]

Alex stared at the initial number of rabid dogs and then the total number.

Now he understood how so many people passed the trial. The three who passed later on must have realized this loophole to pass the trial.

What shocked him were the two deaths in the game. Were they like him?

Now that he knew most of the stuff about the first game, he was sure that as time passed, this game would become easier to pass.

It was hard to tell if these deaths happened after killing their first dog or if they were just caught unprepared.

What made him pale was the hidden scenario's condition.

Alex thought about the alley, and if all those dogs got infected, just the thought of it made his arm chill.

He knew from experience that dealing with so many dogs without firearms was close to impossible. He was sure that once the hidden scenario started, something about the restrictions would also change.

In Hunt 5, all the trial games had hidden conditions that increased the difficulty of the game, but all these scenarios also gave extra special rewards that a player could not get otherwise.

He shook his head and tapped on the game video to see what the other hunters did.
