"You're here, Jiang Feng."
Lifting his head up, Jiang Feng's father looked at him as he held a pair of eating utensils, clearly readied to have dinner.
Jiang Feng's mother also placed away the book that she was reading after noticing the arrival of Jiang Feng. Signaling to the maid at the door with a nod, Jiang Feng's mother then turned to look at him as she welcomed him to join them.
"Why are you still standing there? Dinner's about to be served soon."
"Oh, okay."
Walking past his mother's seat and arriving in between his parents, Jiang Feng pulled out his chair and sat down. Not even a second later, he received a questioning from his dearest mother.
"How are you feeling right now? I heard from Aunt Lee that you fainted in a restaurant today, do you need us to bring you to the hospital for a checkup?"
Sighing to himself, Jiang Feng turned to his mother with an apologetic smile.
"It's nothing much, really. I'm already feeling a lot better after 3 hours of napping. Moreover, the nurse from the ambulance already said there was no abnormalities, so just be at ease and treat this as something in the past." he said.
"But this is your first time fainting, not to mention after you experienced that nightmare, your condition has been getting worst each day. When was the first time that you had this nightmare you said? 10 months ago? 11 months?" Jiang Feng's father asked.
"Roughly a year by now." Jiang Feng replied with a heavier sigh.
"See, a year almost has passed and that nightmare still haunts you. The cause of your fainting today might even be related to it, you really should meet with a therapist or a doctor soon before something really happens." His mother said.
Knock*~ Knock*~
With their conversations disturbed by a knock on the door, the attention of the three shifted to it as the voice of a maid sounded from the outside.
"Dinner is ready, Sir."
"Bring it in."
Pushing a serving cart in, the fragrant aroma of tonight's dinner filled the room as it slightly lifted the heavy mood in the room. Jiang Feng's parents put aside the matter temporarily as they inspected the dishes being served to them.
Once they were done with that, Jiang Feng's mother nodded at the maid standing at their table, who bowed in reply as she left with her serving cart.
"Let's eat first, shall we?" Jiang Feng said as he grabbed the utensils placed before him.
Seeing that their son was trying to avoid having any further conversations about his condition, the two silently agreed to put it aside first as they enjoyed their meal fresh out from the kitchen.
For a period of time, no sound other than the ones produced by the three feasting on their meals was heard in the room. However, this all ended as soon as the previous maid re-entered with her co-workers to clean up the table and serve them tea.
"So, how about it? I'll bring you to the hospital nearby for a checkup and we'll see what to do afterwards after listening to the doctor's advice."
Looking at Jiang Feng with seriousness on her face, Jiang Feng's mother suggested her plan to him, to which the father agreed silently as he turned to his son, waiting for his answer.
"Well, it should be fine, but I'm meeting up with Jiang Yang and the others at 3 tomorrow afternoon, remember?"
In the end, Jiang Feng had no choice but to agree to his parent's planning after seeing how determined they were for him to receive an official checkup from the hospital. There's no way he can straight out say no to them after seeing their expressions, right?
"That wouldn't be a problem. We'll head out to Doctor Wang's hospital at 8:30. Your grandma has been under his care ever since she reached the age of 70. I'm sure Doctor Wang wouldn't mind cutting the line for you when he sees us." Jiang Feng's mother said
"I'll send you two there then. I happened to be leaving at that time too." Jiang Feng's father then added.
…
After talking for a little while longer, Jiang Feng left the room and went back to his. Placing his phone on the table, Jiang Feng shifted his attention to inspecting every corner of his room.
"The same as always…but just what is that weird illusion.."
Murmuring to himself, Jiang Feng thought back about the ancient coffin and its surrounding mist. The red shade he seen also left a deep impression on him as its color was something that didn't fit the theme of the place.
'I guess there's no way of finding out about that weird coffin until tomorrow's checkup. I wonder if it even has any relation to that place.'
'Well, being suspicious of things right now won't do me any good, might as well call it a day after a quick bath.'
Taking out the bath towel placed in his cabinet, Jiang Feng grabbed his phone and left the room again, heading for the bathroom this time.
Filling the tub with hot water, Jiang Feng sat inside as a groan filled with pleasure escaped from his mouth. A pair of muscular yet smooth white arms were then placed on the edges of the tub, with drops of water dripping down from it, enticing those who can see it to move closer for a touch themselves.
Wetting his hair with the water from the tub, Jiang Feng then arched his head and submerged the rest of his body into the water. Doing so, warmth enveloped his body as an intense sleepiness assaulted his mind.
"This feeling is just the best…"
Speaking his thoughts out loud, Jiang Feng continued to submerged himself in the tub for a few more minutes before concluding his bathing session and went to bed.
