Alder's heart pounded in his chest. He immediately thought of the worst. Did Seth come at night and kidnap his son and his lucky charm? But if that had happened, he would have heard something, some fight or something breaking, but everything was okay last night. Not any guards, nor his beta informed him of anything. Was he overthinking? Were they okay? But where were they? His son was not an early riser yet his bed was made. Did he sleep at all?
He ran down the stairs thinking about where he might have gone. His mind was working overtime. He mind-linked Gothmog, his Head Beta.
"I can't find them. I can't find them," he talked frantically.
"Your Highness! What are you talking about? Who are you talking about?" asked Gadburg.
"Aaron and Edwina. Where are they?" asked Alder.
"What do you mean you can't find them?" asked Gadburg.
"I searched their rooms, but they are not there," said Alder. "Did anything happen last night?"
