All looked at Edwina. First Ariadne shouted and now Edwina. What was happening?
"What?" asked Thorin.
"Oh no! Please don't tell anyone. I think I was not supposed to tell you," pleaded Douglas.
"What happened, Ed?" asked Valenthia.
"Um…" she sighed. "Nothing," she answered. "Eat, I will tell you later."
She stared at Douglas, her mind reeling from the sudden revelation. "King Alder changed the verdict? He really did that? But… why? What did he tell you?"
Douglas was scared as he revealed something he was not supposed to. He just blurted out without thinking twice. "I am sorry, I should not have said anything."
"Tell me," she ordered.
