While the train was moving, Pei Guang had already sorted and stowed away the items in the carriage. After looking at his storage space, he realized only one slot was left, making him feel uneasy.
Pei Guang: "Damn it! Why isn't there an auto-sort feature? I have to sort this manually, ugh! Why are there so many different types of items? Never mind, I'll do it after we get off."
On the floor, Bronya slowly regained consciousness.
At this moment, Bronya felt a slight headache, but along with the pain, she also felt surprisingly refreshed. The mental fatigue and weariness from the long hours of work seemed to have lifted significantly.
Bronya: "Where… am I…?"
Bronya shook her head, noticing a light in front of her. It was just an ordinary lamp, but it somehow eased the long-standing tension and anxiety in her heart.
And then she saw a cute girl with beautiful pink hair and a bright smile on her face. Oh! This girl looked very familiar to her, and that smile gave her an inexplicable sense of reassurance.
March 7th: "Come on! It's time for some coffee."
Bronya heard the girl's voice, as melodious as a songbird's. Hmm… What's that? Bronya didn't really know what a songbird was, but this thought crossed her mind.
Seeing the cup of coffee offered to her, Bronya smiled and opened her mouth. The aroma of the coffee instantly filled her mouth, with every taste bud rejoicing, her tongue dancing, and her brain stopping all thought.
Once again, she fell into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, March 7th looked at the coffee in her hand and then at the once-again unconscious Bronya, and remarked: "Ah Guang! This coffee is pretty effective."
Pei Guang: "I told you, it's a special item for special people. But seriously, why did you knock her out again…"
March 7th stuck out her tongue sheepishly: "I just wanted to see if she would still want another sip after seeing the coffee again."
Pei Guang: "And your conclusion?"
March 7th: "She would definitely want another sip!"
Stelle: "Not a bad conclusion! We should try giving her another sip later."
Pei Guang: "I also think that's a good idea!"
Dan Heng, overhearing this conversation, stared up at the ceiling, unsure of what to say; but he also began to ponder—if those guys drank this coffee, would they pass out too? If so, that could be interesting.
This was something worth investigating. If he ever encountered those people again, and Pei Guang was around, he might just give it a try.
By the time Bronya had passed out again, the train had already arrived at Boulder Town.
As the train stopped, March 7th curiously looked at the lit-up platform ahead: "How do we… get down?"
Pei Guang: "We'll just walk down, shouldn't be a problem. Wait, on second thought, there is a problem—let me organize the supplies in my backpack first. If I don't, there won't be enough space. Damn it! I've collected too much random junk: my backpack's full."
March 7th: "I'll help you!"
Stelle: "I'll take some too."
Dan Heng: "Is there anything I can do?"
Hearing Dan Heng's offer, Pei Guang was delighted: "There really is! You guys can take anything you need. Take everything you want and help me sort the rest: food in one pile, items in another, clothing in another, and weapons in another. Everything else can go to the side. My backpack is too full—if I don't organize it, there won't be enough space for our exploration in the Underworld."
And so, the group got off the train, and Pei Guang took out everything from his backpack except for the mission items.
As they were preparing to leave the platform, the train attendant outside had already gathered a few people.
Now, gathered here were Oleg, the leader of Wildfire, Seele, also a member of Wildfire, and the 'ordinary' doctor Natasha.
Listening to the elderly man in front of her, Natasha pondered: "So, you're saying a train has arrived? And someone is getting off? This isn't a good sign. Let's go inside and see what's going on!"
Seele: "I'll lead the way!"
The group walked directly onto the platform. As for danger? What danger could there be? Oleg was, after all, a retired Silvermane Guard, and even though it's been years since he left, he could still pull some strings.
However, when they arrived at the platform, they saw two men and two women organizing a large pile of miscellaneous items, and not far away, laying on the ground, a girl dressed like a Silvermane Guard.
Just as Natasha was about to speak, Pei Guang noticed the newcomers.
Pei Guang: "Oh! There's a welcoming party. Do you have some time?"
Hearing Pei Guang's words, Seele, quick to speak, was about to say something, but Natasha stopped him.
Natasha: "Sir, is there something we can help you with?"
Seele might not recognize some of the items, but Natasha did. These were things that were hard to come by in the Underworld. There were various foods, drinks, and even alcohol? Bandages? Fabrics? And many other things she couldn't identify, but from what she could confirm there were many life-saving items among them.
These were all items Pei Guang had casually collected from the Herta Space Station, the train, and the exploration of the upper city of Belobog. Some were taken from broken vending machines, others grabbed while passing through kitchens, and some were looted from treasure chests in the Space Station. Since his backpack hadn't been full, Pei Guang never bothered to sort them out. But now, after taking on so many tasks, his backpack was nearly full, so it was time for a thorough cleanup.
Things like candies and cookies were rewards given to Pei Guang by some kids in the Herta Space Station. They had been useful at the time, but for Pei Guang now, these items were a bit redundant. If any NPCs wanted them, he'd give them away to raise affinity: if not, he'd eat them himself, and if he couldn't finish them, he'd toss them.
March 7th: "I've sorted the drinks—there are 32 different kinds!"
Pei Guang: "Here's a box—put all those drinks in it. Wait a second! Stelle? I asked you to help me sort, not to eat. Show some restraint!"
Not far away, Stelle was organizing snacks while munching on bread, and she had also grabbed a bottle of cola to drink!
In response to Pei Guang's words, Stelle continued eating and drinking while speaking: "It was just sitting there, so let me have a little!"
Pei Guang: "I was planning to drink that cola myself, but fine, you can have it."
Stelle offered the half-finished cola back: "There's still some left—want it?"
Pei Guang: "You can finish it."
March 7th: "Oh hey~ There's actually some milk here! Ah Guang, want some?"
Pei Guang: "Save me a sip."
Dan Heng: "I've finished sorting the items based on their properties, and I've also categorized the clothes by style and size."
Pei Guang: "Thank you~ Now, help me put these into this box. My storage space is special: different types of items each take up a slot, but items of the same type can stack infinitely. You guys need to fill up these trash cans and bins—once they're full, I can classify them as a food bin or a drink bin, which will let me store them as the same type of item. That way, I'll free up a lot of space. As for the excess, we can throw it away or give it to someone."
As a skilled player, clearing out the backpack is a necessary process when space is limited, especially when exploring new areas. But what frustrated Pei Guang was that his backpack didn't have an auto-sort function, which made it a pain to organize when it got full.
As for saving items until they found something new? If this were a game with a pause button, he would certainly wait until he found new items before tossing the useless ones. But in Pei Guang's eyes, this game was too realistic—what if he found something valuable while being chased and didn't have time to sort his items? That would be a nightmare!
Most of the items were things he grabbed impulsively whenever he saw them, regardless of their usefulness. Who would have thought that while on his first mission outside, his inventory would get full?
Natasha, watching the four of them busily sorting through the various supplies scattered on the ground, thought for a moment before smiling: "What should I do?"
