We arrived at the precinct that late afternoon, and Brenda and I immediately got to work on our reports, detailing everything that had happened, especially the incident with Creepy Tommy. After finishing up in our cubicles, we headed straight to Captain Avery's office.
I hoped the meeting would be quick so I could get home, change, and make a good first impression with Vanessa's family. It was my first time meeting them, and I wanted to look my best.
