"I'm pregnant."
I stopped everything I was doing and stared at her in shock. For a moment I thought my ears were playing me there.
"Pardon?"
"I'm pregnant," she repeated with tears in her eyes.
I slowly got up and approached her in pure shock. I didn't even know how to react because it was something no one would ever think of happening.
"You're pregnant?" I asked again to be sure and she nodded as she sobbed.
"You are!" I exclaimed in disbelief as I embraced her.
"I went to the doctor and he did a pregnancy test on me…here it is." She sobbed as she showed me the test result.
Adjusting to hold her with one arm, I collected the test tube and found two lines. For several seconds, I stood there staring at it. It was like I was trying to digest the information. It was a miracle.
