Chapter 44 - Pregnant

Hades and Sophia struggled to pry open the crushed door of Aurora's SUV.

Just then, the wail of approaching sirens cut through the night air.

An ambulance pulled up, and paramedics rushed out.

Neither Sophia nor Hades knew who had called for help, but in that moment, it didn't matter—what mattered was that the professionals were here to help Aurora.

With swift, practiced movements, the paramedics took control of the situation, forcing the mangled car door open.

Hades stepped back, his hands trembling slightly as he watched them carefully extract Aurora from the wreckage.

The sight of her unconscious body, blood still dripping from the wound on her forehead, was like a knife to his heart.

His mind was a whirlwind of panic and fear, but he forced himself to stay calm, at least outwardly.

Sophia stood frozen for a second, her eyes locked on Aurora's pale face.
