Chapter 50 - CCTV Feed

Sophia wiped her tears.

She steadied herself in the restroom as she recalled why she had lied to Aurora, why she had pretended that Lucas didn't care, and why she had painted Hades in a good light.

The memory played out vividly in her mind, starting from the night the accident occurred.

Lucas had stayed in Aurora's ward the entire night, refusing to leave her side for even a second.

He sat there, holding Aurora's hand, whispering softly to her, even though she was unconscious. His devotion was undeniable.

Meanwhile, Hades had waited in the hallway, growing more agitated by the hour.

When Sophia had passed through the waiting area to leave, she saw Hades pacing, his frustration evident.

"How long is he going to stay in there with her?" he had grumbled under his breath, but Sophia didn't engage.

She had left without a word, heading back to Aurora's mansion.
