Chapter 27 - Mangekyo Sharingan.

Imagine your village is full of rats, so you grab ten rats and put them in a cage, soon there's only one rat.

Then you throw another ten rats in there, soon there's one rat.

Repeat that another few times and you will create a Rat King, a creature that only feasts on it's own kind.

After releasing the rat king, there will be no more rats in the village.

Although rats and humans are very different creatures, they are still close enough for scientists to use them instead of humans in their experiments.

Sensing Jinpachi's situation the other swordsman increased their efforts as they fought more ferociously.

Rolling Jinpachi's corpse around with his foot, Shitsuya opened his closed left eye lid and scooped out his Sharingan.

Doing the same for his own brown left eye Shitsuya inserted his long lost eye back in it's rightful place as he flooded it with chakra.

His thick, viscous chakra flowed into his Sharingan and Shitsuya's vision became more than a 100 times sharper, he could even notice the slightest changes in texture in a rock more than a hundred meters away.

Inserting more concentrated chakra, the three tomoe in his eye spun with increasing speed as they merged into a long thin line that formed into a hypnotic red and black spiral.

As Shitsuya awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan he instinctively understood his ability.

He gritted his teeth, veins bulged on his forehead before he calmed down and his forehead smoothed out.

Although he didn't get a Mangekyo Sharingan ability that might allow him to go back to earth his Mangekyo Sharingan ability could definitely be considered among the more busted category.

On the other side, the five swordsman defeated Shitsuya's earth clones one after another as they joined hands.

The mist dispersed as Shitsuya plainly stood Infront of the five ninja swordsman who stood in an intimidating formation, each holding their sword.

"Don't blink or you might miss it." Shitsuya said and the five swordsman tensed their muscles in preparation for a unified attack.

"Didn't I tell you not to blink?" Shitsuya said as he appeared behind them.

As they turned to look back behind them, their heads slid from their shoulders before landing on the floor one after another and rolling away as their bodies collapsed on the blood, hot blood gushing from their necks with high pressure.

What sort of ability could allow Shitsuya to instantly kill his opponents? Nothing fancy, he merely stopped the flow of time and decapitated each one of them before resuming it's normal flow.

Shitsuya felt his visual accuity deteriorate ever so slightly as he deactivated his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Although his ability was good he could only stop time for ten seconds once every ten hours, and like every other Mangekyo it lost a part of it's vision with each use.

Grabbing the orange cat which was drinking from a puddle formed out of one of the swordsman's blood by the scruff of its neck, it shook it's damp fur soaked in rain splashing water on Shitsuya's face.

After cleaning up the area, Shitsuya left the land of rain.

Elsewhere back in the hidden mist village, the current Mizukage was having a headache.

One of the hidden mist's prisons containing enemy ninjas was compromised.

Not a single guard, staff member or prisoner survived, all reduced to scattered piles of mush indistinguishable from one another.

The culprit was unknown although investigations revealed that it was the doing of someone from the inside or the enemy had been thorough enough to erase any traces of an outside job.

After the end of the Second great ninja war, all five major villages made the decision to build up strength internally before another major war would erupt.

With such a dangerous and unknown element on the loose the village's strength might be heavily damaged if a series of similar attacks occurred on different sites,

The Mizukage could not rest easy as such a threat needed to be eliminated as soon as possible.

After passing down orders to reinforce internal security and set up check points and search parties to weed out any suspicious elements the Mizukage called for one of his assistants and the assistant arrived before bowing respectfully.

"Have the Ninja swordsman come back from their assignment yet? I have an urgent task for them." The Mizukage spoke.

"No sir they haven't come back yet, we also lost communication with them a few hours ago." The subordinate spoke.

"What!?" The Mizukage slammed his desk as he stood up.

"And you didn't inform me?!" He shouted.

"Well it only happened an hour ago, short loss of contact is a common occurrence so we didn't feel it was something worthy of your attention." The subordinate hastily explained.

'Although I know that it's a normal occurrence I have a bad feeling right now, if this is part of a larger plot set up by one or more major villages, the remaining swordsman might be in danger.' the Mizukage thought before issuing an order.

"Contact them as soon as possible, report everything about this matter to me." The Mizukage ordered and the assistant bowed respectfully before leaving.

Other than him, the Mizukage, the Seven ninja swordsman were undoubtedly the most important figures in the village, not only were they powerful, they were also a symbol of the hidden mist's strength and a pillar for moral, if the seven ninja swordsman were to be eliminated the consequences would be dire.

Although the seven ninja swordsman were powerful enough to take down a country, they were now deep in enemy territory controlled by Hanzo the of Salamander, a man formidable enough to stand against the forces of the five great nations who plotted for the downfall of the land of rain.

If any of the other four major nations were to acquire information that the seven ninja swordsman entered the land of rain all they would need to do is inform Hanzo who would undoubtedly seize the opportunity to deal a blow to the strength of Kirigakure.

If the remaining six swordsman encountered Hanzo, the best outcome would be for them to retreat.

Although Hanzo would cause a fuss, the Hidden mist possessed far greater political power and could simply sweep things under the rug with a bit of effort.

If on the other hand the swordsman fought Hanzo, the third Mizukage was confident that they would lose.

If that happened, with the other villages seizing the opportunity, this matter might balloon large enough that it could threaten Kirigakure itself.
