[A/N: TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE DAY!!!?? Enjoy the double release :) ]
The next day, Shitsuya went to meet his teammates in a training ground.
Shitsuya arrived a few minutes late as he predicted that his teacher would be late.
Arriving at his destination, Shitsuya only found the purple haired Hana who was filing her nails.
Noticing Shitsuya's arrival, Hana greeted him. "Good morning. Did you sleep well?"
"Yes." Shitsuya replied before taking a seat.
"Naga went to wake up sensei so we won't have to wait too long." Hana said.
"Is he always late?" Shitsuya asked.
"Yeah, he usually oversleeps so we got used to it." Hana said.
"Even so, Sensei is very dependable when it matters." Hana continued and Shitsuya stayed quiet.
Hana took a look at her nails before put the nail file back in her pocket.
Turning to Shitsuya she said. "We're most likely going to fight sensei today so we should help eachother or at least try not to get in each others way."
Shitsuya nodded.
"I specialise in wind Jutsu, Naga is pretty good with Taijutsu. How good are you at Kenjutsu?" Hana said as she glanced at the short sword at his waist.
"I'm average." Hearing Shitsuya's answer Hana sighed.
"I can do fire and earth Jutsu and I am also pretty good with Genjutsu." Shitsuya spoke.
Hana didn't believe him, Genjutsu was a bit believable as he was an Uchiha but elemental Jutsu were above the pay grade of academy students especially an early graduate like him.
"Alright, first we'll start by using you Genjutsu to stun sensei then Naga and I will attack." Hana said.
She didn't believe Shitsuya but it wasn't like it was a battle to the death or anything so she decided to give him a chance.
*****
"Why do I have to wake him up?" Naga grumbled as he entered Naga's house.
Although Naga didn't have the key, a lock was only a suggestion to not enter when it came to a ninja.
Entering Shikane's apartment the smell of cigarettes assaulted Naga's senses.
Shikane's house was akin to a pigsty. Clothes, empty beer cans and all sorts of junk littered the floor.
Not even a single lightbulb worked as Shikane was too lazy to replace them when they fizzled out.
Walking through the living room, Naga trudged through the empty cans on the floor as the clanked around with his every step.
Arriving at Shikane's bedroom, Naga walked in and his eyes twitched as he found his teacher sleeping face down, ass up.
Grabbing a half empty beer can, Naga poured it on Shikane's head. Shikane had no reaction.
Naga sighed.
******
After an hour of waiting, Naga and the sleepy Shikane finally arrived.
"Alright students, today we're going to work on teamwork in battle, your job is to defeat me. At the count of three we'll start." Shikane said
"One, two...." Shitsuya and his teammates tensed as Shikane started counting.
Yawning, Shikane picked up a pebble off the floor and threw it up. "Three."
"Shitsuya." Hana said.
Instantly Shitsuya turned on his Sharingan and cast a powerful Genjutsu on Shikane.
He didn't hold back as his opponent was a chunin and he wanted to get a feeling for the strength of opponents at that level.
Shikane already predicted Shitsuya's move as he was aware of his Sharingan but he still decided to receive it head on to see how good Shitsuya was, that was also a major part of why they were having this fight.
Even though Shikane was prepared for Shitsuya's Genjutsu he still underestimated him.
Even without the Sharingan, Shitsuya could definitely be considered a Genjutsu genius.
With it's addition his Genjutsu reached the level where Shikane even with his powerful spiritual energy couldn't break out easily as he felt his body impaled by multiple stakes the stopped him from moving.
Seeing Shikane freeze, Hana was surprised but still shouted, "Naga!"
"On it!" Naga said and the group below him crumbled as he shot towards Shikane.
Seeing his speed, Shitsuya was impressed, Naga turned out to be quite capable as he was several times faster than him.
Just when Naga was about to reach Shikane, the pebble, Shikane threw at the beginning landed on his head.
This small contact allowed Shikane to break out from the Genjutsu and he instantly reacted to the charging Naga.
Shikane weaved a single sign and the Naga was instantly stopped in his tracks as he was caught by Shikane's shadow possession Jutsu.
Moving Naga Infront of him, Shikane used him as a human shield.
Uncaring about Naga's safety, Hana threw a dozen Kunai at him before weaving a few hand signs and shooting a couple dozen small wind bullets.
The wind bullets collided with Kunai, changing their trajectory and making them curve around Naga and fly towards Shikane.
Shikane pulled out a Kunai coated in chakra and moved quickly as he repelled the kunai.
Taking this opportunity Shitsuya weaved a few hand seal.
'Earth release: sink hole.'
Shikane jumped back and the ground below his previous position collapsed.
Shitsuya wasn't done however as he weaved the next few seals.
'Earth release, Mud wall.'
A tall wall of earth rose between Shikane and Naga forcing the amount of distance his shadow needed to extend to multiply, breaking the Shadow Possession Jutsu and freeing Naga.
'Not bad.' Shikane thought as he moved around the wall that now hid his students.
What greeted him on the other side was a giant fireball that shot towards him.
Feeling the heat, Shikane smirked slightly before he disappeared and was replaced by the pebble he threw at the beginning.
Appearing at another location he was greeted by Naga who threw a palm at him, Shikane moved to grab his wrist but his hand passed through nothing and his eyes widened.
'A Genjutsu?!' Shikane realised and broke out of the Genjutsu instantly.
Naga and Hana appeared from both his sides flanking him and he jumped dodging Shitsuya who appeared from the ground trying to grab his legs to drag him down.
Shikane kicked at both sides landing two firm kicks on Hana and Naga's faces knocking them out before.
Landing and grabbing Shitsuya's arms and dragging him from the ground and kneeing him in the stomach.
Watching his three knocked out students, Shikane smiled as he wiped a bit of sweat off his forehead.
[A/N: What are your thoughts on the fight? It writing ninja battles is a lot more fun than I thought.]
