Chapter 8 - Sasuke!!!

A year later, Miyuki sat on the porch of their family home; her dark eyes fixed on the clan members going about their day. The sun was rising, casting a dim light over the Uchiha clan land. The door opened, and she glanced over at Itachi, who was ready to go out and practice for the day.

'Despite all the effort I've been putting into training, Itachi still caught up to me.' She sighed, 'Why is his talent so ridiculous? It almost makes all my efforts seem like a waste.'

Miyuki's thoughts were interrupted by the sight of her mother following Itachi out of the house. She looked at her mother, specifically towards her more rounded belly.

'And there's that to worry about to. The Nine Tails, and the further ostracization of the clan should happen soon. Should I ask father to warn Minato about this?' Miyuki considered, 'No if I do that then I'll have no idea about what will occur in the future. I wouldn't even be able to explain how i know something will happen anyways.'

"Mom, your belly is getting bigger," Miyuki said, her voice laced with both anticipation and dread.

Mikoto chuckled softly. "Yes, Miyuki. There's a baby growing inside me. Soon, you'll have a little brother or sister."

Miyuki's eyes wondered towards Itachi. "I know, what will be its name?"

"Your father wants to name them Sasuke if their a boy." Mikoto replied, gently patting her belly before softly whispering to herself. "Trying to cozy up to Hiruzen..."

Pretending she didn't hear the last part, Miyuki nodded, then began to follow Itachi to the training ground.

After a few minutes of walking, Miyuki couldn't help but ask, "What do you think of our new sibling Itachi?"

"I can't wait." He replied simply with a smile forming on his face.

As the months passed, Miyuki and Itachi watched their mother's belly grow larger. When they weren't training, they often sat by her side, listening to their mother go on and on about how they should handle the baby. Sometimes, Mikoto would place their hands on her belly, letting them feel the baby move.

One evening, as the family gathered for dinner, Mikoto winced in pain. Fugaku, immediately stood up and rushed to her side, accidentally knocking some dishes off the table in the process.

"It's time," Mikoto said, her voice strained.

Fugaku nodded and quickly helped her to their bedroom. Miyuki and Itachi were left in the living room, their hearts pounding. They could hear their mother's muffled cries and their father's soothing words.

A couple of minutes later, the door was burst open as a medical-nin arrived. "Which room is the patriarch in?" They spoke hurriedly.

"Upstairs and to the left," Miyuki replied quickly as she watched the ninja run up the stairs. 'How did he know mother was giving birth now?' She silently pondered.

Hours passed, and the house fell silent. Finally, Fugaku emerged from the bedroom, a tired but happy smile lit up his face.

"Come in, you two," he said softly. "Come meet Sasuke."

Miyuki and Itachi both exchanged a glance before hurrying into the room. Mikoto lay on the bed, cradling a tiny bundle in her arms. She looked up and smiled at her children.

"Meet your baby brother," she said, her voice filled with love.

Miyuki approached the bed first, her heart swelling with emotion. Joy, fear, worry, so many emotions appeared at this moment that Miyuki didn't know how she should feel. Looking at the bundle in her mother's arms, Miyuki saw Sasuke's tiny face peeking out from the blanket, his eyes closed in peaceful slumber.

"He's really here," Miyuki whispered imperceptibly, looking at Sasuke. Seeing his tiny face and hands, Miyuki couldn't help but want to touch him. She reached for his tiny hand, held it in her own, and was suddenly overcome by feelings of happiness and love. 'My brother' she thought, 'You will be safe in this life.'

Memories of her past life on earth began to flood her mind as Miyuki gazed at Sasuke. Memories of her life, of her younger brother. The brother she failed to protect. As the memories flew through her mind, Miyuki's sharingan opened without her realizing.

She began to recall how she and her brother grew up. How she scavenged for food from the dumpsters, how she fought to protect him and herself from traffickers. And how she lost him, how she failed to keep him away from their predatory eye. She remembered how they were beaten, tied up, and thrown into a car. She remembered struggling so desperately to resist, struggling to protect herself and her brother.

But all her struggle proved worthless. They were taken away, and, she was made to watch her brother get sold to a man who, then and there, chose to rape and kill him.

With all the painful memories of her brother flashing through her mind, Miyuki's sharingan began to revolve. "Ugh" she grunted as two more tomoe appeared in her eyes. "You'll be safe." She stated before collapsing onto the floor of the bedroom.

Miyuki's sudden sharingan evolution sent a shockwave through the room. Mikoto's eyes widened in alarm as she saw her daughter fall to the floor, her Sharingan spinning with three tomoe in each eye.

"Miyuki!" Mikoto cried out, her voice filled with panic. She carefully handed Sasuke to Fugaku and rushed to her daughter's side.

Fugaku, holding Sasuke, looked down at Miyuki with a mixture of concern and confusion. "Itachi, bring the medical-nin back in!" he ordered, his voice steady despite the turmoil.

Itachi, who had been standing frozen in shock, snapped into action. He sprinted out of the room, his heart pounding fiercely in his chest. He found the medical-nin who had assisted with Sasuke's birth and quickly brought them back to the bedroom.

Seeing the collapsed girl, the medical-nin quickly got into action and knelt beside Miyuki, checking her pulse and examining her eyes. "She's exhausted, but her vitals are stable," they said, their voice calm and professional. "It seems she has awakened a new level of her Sharingan. The strain must have been too much for her young body." The nin spoke with some amazement.

Mikoto gently nodded, brushing Miyuki's hair away from her face. "My poor girl," she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. "What could have caused this?"

Fugaku, still holding Sasuke, looked at his daughter with a mixture of pride and worry. "The Sharingan evolves through intense emotional experiences," he said quietly. "But I've never heard of a case where it's due to positive emotion."

Itachi knelt beside Miyuki; his eyes filled with concern for his sister. "Will she be, okay?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.

The medical-nin nodded. "She needs rest. Her body and mind have been through a lot. Within three days she'll be fully recovered."

Mikoto and Fugaku exchanged a glance, both confused about what to do. "Itachi you don't feel anything right?!" Mikoto suddenly turned quickly and asked with great concern.

"I feel... a lot right now mother." Itachi replied strangely.

"I mean with your eyes! Do you feel anything happening with your eyes?" She retorted, but no longer with as much concern seeing as her son didn't have his sharingan open.

"I feel a slight change but nothing much." Itachi said honestly to his mother. "Is that bad? Will I collapse like Miyuki?"

"Nothing to worry about, your sharingan likely strengthened but didn't evolve." The medical-nin suddenly spoke up.

"She'll be fine, and Sasuke will be too." The medical-nin preparing to leave, turned to Fugaku. "Keep an eye on her. If she shows any signs of distress or if her condition worsens, you can call for me."

Fugaku nodded, his expression serious. "Thank you."

With the medical-nin gone, Fugaku handed Sasuke back to Mikoto, then bent down to pick up Miyuki. "I'll take her to her room to rest. Itachi, Miyuki isn't allowed to train for the next few days. You should make sure she doesn't."

Fugaku gently carried Miyuki and left the room. All while Sasuke, in Mikoto's arms, was still sleeping peacefully as if nothing happened at all.

As the night wore on, the family stayed awake, half expecting something to happen to Itachi as well. One kid was born, one collapsed, and the other, well, he just watched.
