A week had passed since Miyuki's trick, and her training has only intensified. Miyuki has been pushing herself harder than ever, determined to master the Uchiha Style Shuriken Technique. Her progress was evident as she managed to throw multiple shuriken at once almost as well as if she had thrown them one at a time. However, she was still far from being able to make them collide properly.
One early morning, Miyuki was startled awake by a firm knock on her door. She groggily opened her eyes to see her father, Fugaku, standing in the doorway. "Miyuki, Itachi, wake up," he called out, his voice authoritative yet gentle. "We're going to the lake for training."
Miyuki quickly got out of bed, her excitement overriding her fatigue. She glanced over at Itachi, who was also waking up, a look of anticipation on his face. "Hn," they both replied.
'I can't believe were finally going to learn the fireball jutsu! Who knows maybe i'm super talented in jutsu or something? I'll be a sniper on the battlefield...' Miyuki thought to herself with great anticipation.
The twins quickly got dressed and followed Fugaku out of the compound. The morning air was crisp and cool, and the sky was painted with the soft hues of dawn. They walked in silence, the only sound being the crunch of gravel under their feet.
As they reached the lake, Fugaku turned to face them. "Today, we will be focusing on the Great Fireball Jutsu," he announced. "It is a powerful technique that requires decent chakra control and concentration."
Miyuki felt a surge of excitement. "I'm ready, Father," she said, her voice filled with anticipation.
Fugaku nodded approvingly. "Very well. Watch closely."
He demonstrated the technique, his hands forming the necessary seals with practiced ease. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" he exclaimed, releasing a massive fireball that roared through the air and dissipated over the lake's surface bringing with it a massive cloud of steam.
The twins watched in awe, their eyes wide with admiration. "Now, it's your turn," Fugaku instructed. "Remember, focus on your chakra control and hand seals."
Itachi and Miyuki nodded, their expressions serious. They began practicing the hand seals, their movements synchronized. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" they both exclaimed, attempting to release the fireball.
Itachi's fireball was small but formed correctly, while Miyuki's flickered and dissipated before fully forming. Fugaku observed their attempts, his eyes sharp and analytical.
"Good effort, both of you," he said. "Itachi, increase the chakra output but keep it minimal. More chakra will make it bigger, but bigger isn't always better. How much chakra you should imput will depend on the situation. Miyuki, focus on maintaining a steady flow of chakra."
Miyuki nodded. "Hn."
They continued practicing, their attempts becoming more refined with each try. Fugaku offered tips and corrections, his voice calm but firm. "Remember, the key is to maintain a steady flow of chakra and focus on the hand seals."
As the sun began to rise higher in the sky, Fugaku suggested they take a break. "You both are doing well," he said, his voice filled with pride. "But remember, it's important to rest and not overexert yourselves. Chakra exhaustion is a very serious matter, and though treatable, it could leave you with some serious problems."
Miyuki nodded, taking it to heart that she should practice something else while recovering chakra. "Got it father."
As they sat down by the lake, Fugaku turned to Miyuki. "I've noticed you practice a lot extra. That's not a bad thing but you're still only three, and you must take your body into account. Too much practice can harm your health Miyuki."
Miyuki understood this point but still felt like she had to continue pushing herself. "I know, don't worry I take rests a lot." She lied through her teeth while looking at Fugaku sincerly.
Fugaku smiled slightly. "That's good then. Keep up the hard work, and you'll become a great ninja."
Miyuki felt a pang of guilt at having lied like that, but she remained steadfast in her resolve to continue training hard. 'I have to get stronger,' she thought. 'Otherwise, were all doomed.'
As the sun began to set, Fugaku stood up. "I have to go now, but keep practicing. You're both doing amazing."
Itachi and Miyuki watched as Fugaku walked away, their hearts filled with determination to keep practicing. "I'm going to keep practicing, Itachi," Miyuki suggested.
Itachi nodded, his eyes reflecting the same determination. "I'll join you, Miyuki."
Hearing this Miyuki pannicked a little. 'Wait no he's already better than me at jutsu I can't let him continue practicing!'
"Ahem, actually Itachi.. I heard that Shisui wanted to speak with you at sunset." Miyuki spoke very sincerly without even a hint of deciet on her face.
"You're lying. I'm not falling for your tricks again!" Itachi responded quickly, "Shisui said he'll tell me personally if he has something for me." He smiled at having seen through her trick.
"Nuh uh, he said it was super urgent, so he wasn't able to tell you this time. The only reason I know this is because me and Shisui have a special communication method." Miyuki spoke while pointing at the sky. "See that cloud? Shisui sent that cloud to tell me to send you over."
Upon hearing this Itachi looked up at the strangly formed cloud suspiciously. "Ok...but if this is another trick then I'll tell mother." He said strangely before running off.
Seeing him go Miyuki was satisfied. 'Nice I can still fool a three-year-old child! Wait now that I say it like that... well whatever time to practice.'
Miyuki resumed her practice, formed the hand seals and attempted the Great Fireball Jutsu. This time the jutsu was only slightly deformed, a little better than Itachis first attempt.
"God, I hate the talented." Miyuki cursed as she continued forming hand seals. Soon the training grounds echoed with the sound of her efforts and her curses.
As the evening wore on, Miyuki felt her exhaustion creeping back. Her chakra control wavered, and her fireballs became less precise.
Miyuki shook her head, her eyes filled with stubborn determination. "Just a little more. I can almost get the shape perfect." However, even though she was stubborn she knew she needed to rest, or she wouldn't get anywhere.
She chose to take a break and recover her chakra before trying some more and finishing up for the day. Looking around Miyuki looked for the snacks she had brought with her, but she instead saw Itachi watching her practice, having eaten all her snacks.
Finally, Miyuki's body gave in. She dropped to her knees, panting heavily. Itachi stood up and walked beside her, offering her a water bottle. "You did great today, Miyuki. Let's call it a night."
Miyuki took the bottle, her hands trembling. "How long have you been here?"
Itachi smiled gently. "I never really left. I'm not dumb enough to fall for such a lame trick."
Hearing this Miyuki was stunned. 'Of course, the trick didn't work again. He's the one who could "think like a hokage at 11".' Wait, does that mean he heard me cursing his talent?' Miyuki looked at Itachi suspiciously. "What all did you hear?"
Seeing an opportunity, Itachi turned to look at the lake and put his hands behind his back, looking like a master. "I heard everything Miyuki. But I want you to repeat it all to me so we can put it behind us."
Hearing this Miyuki grew more suspicious. 'Did he actually hear it or is he trying to get me to say it now so he can hear it?' Miyuki decided to test him. "I said that you're really easy to fool, and so much worse than me at shuriken throwing that I need to find a new training partner... sorry Itachi."
Hearing that, Itachi smiled. "Hn it's always good to be honest Miyuki. Thank you for telling me." Itachi spoke solemly, but soon broke into laughter. "But I heard nothing! I just got here. You're so much easier to fool than me! Haha"
"Shutup Itachi! You didn't fool me! I said it because I wanted to not because I was tricked." Miyuki retorted fiercly.
"Hn... Let's go home now foolish younger sibling." Itachi smirked while walking away.
"You're only a few minutes older." Miyuki grumbled as she walked with him.
The twins made their way back to the compound, their steps slow but steady. As they reached their home, they were greeted by their mother, Mikoto, who looked at them with concern. "Thanks for going to get her Itachi. I think she would have stayed out all night if not for you."
"Hn" Itachi replied simply as they walked inside.
