"Contact Carlos, tell him to stop the investigation, and ask him to come to the company to see me tomorrow." Franklin said, staring at the far distance in thought.
The only person who knew the truth was silenced, and the other party would take action soon, so he must deal with the threat first.
"Yes, I will inform him immediately."
After hanging up the phone, Franklin sat in the living room with a deep look in his eyes.
"Won't you eat your food before it's cold?" Ava asked, a bit concerned.
After he finished the call, he did not return to the table, so Ava served him a plate.
"I've lost my appetite." Franklin didn't even look at the food on the table.
"Empty stomach isn't good for your health." Ava retorted. She insisted on holding the plate until he took it. He was obviously not a child anymore, why was he still so willful and refused to eat?
