Ava gently opened the door of the guest room on the second floor and walked in. She didn't turn on the light for fear of waking him up. With the faint light from the window, she approached the bed. "Martin?"
The bed was flat and empty, leaving her stunned for a moment.
What she saw before her was like her brain suddenly stopped working and she had no thoughts.
After being stunned for a while, Ava recovered from her panic. Why wasn't Martin in the room so late? She decided not to panic. Maybe he was so engrossed in playing that he forgot to come back, just like last time.
Ava walked out of the room and went downstairs to look outside the villa.
She searched the entire courtyard... she searched the entire villa, but still couldn't find any trace of Martin. She was once again overwhelmed by confusion and didn't know what to do.
