Fiona's POV
The marketplace bustled with life, vibrant stalls filled with all sorts of goods—fresh fruits, handmade jewelry, beautifully woven fabrics. The sounds of children laughing, merchants calling out their wares, and locals chatting filled the air. It was a welcome distraction from the constant sorrow that weighed me down.
I stayed close to Sebastian as we moved through the crowd. He greeted people warmly, shaking hands and exchanging a few words with everyone who approached him. It was the first time I had seen him like this, not just as an Alpha, but as a leader who genuinely cared for his people. I admired him more than ever, but I couldn't shake the heaviness in my heart. My wolf, Snow, was still gone, and without her, I felt incomplete.
Sebastian glanced over at me, a soft smile playing on his lips. "You doing okay?" he asked, squeezing my hand gently.
I nodded, forcing a smile. "I am. It's just…a lot to take in, but I'm glad to be here."
