Fiona's POV
The evening's peace was shattered as Leo delivered the news. My heart pounded in my chest as Sebastian's body tensed. His protectiveness over the pack, over me, was palpable, and I knew the calm lake we'd just left was now a distant memory.
Sebastian's voice was firm, commanding. "Leo, gather the guards and meet me by the eastern border in ten minutes. I don't want any slip-ups."
Leo nodded and shifted back into the shadows as quickly as he had appeared. The weight of the situation sank in, and my fear rose to the surface. Rachel was still trying to tear everything apart, and now she had help.
Sebastian turned to me, his brow furrowed. "I need you to stay here."
I shook my head, panic gripping me. "No. I'm coming with you. I can't just sit here while you go off into danger."
