Fiona's pov
The trial has been on for a day now and it has been tragic. Ryan was pushing a strong case but Sebastian has been able to stand against it.
I stood looking at the mirror, I felt down about this trial but there's nothing I could do. I began to dress up for today's trial.
When I was done, I quickly ate my breakfast as it was almost time for the trial. I walked towards the throne room, when I heard my name being called
"Fiona!"
I turned to see Ryan smiling at me, my mood immediately changed.
"Your highness" I paid my respect and tried to be cordial.
"Have you packed up your bags?" He asked me when his smile was wide and bright.
"Why should I?" I feigned ignorance.
He walked closer to me, his hands behind his back, "no matter how hard you or your self proclaimed savior tries to hold it off, there's only one way this would end."
I glared at him, "which is?"
"You, back in my pack and beginning the mother in waiting" He smiled brightly at me.
"I would never!" My voice filled with spite ready to kill.
"Fiona?" I heard Sebastian's voice and I turned to look at him, "is everything alright?"
"Yes it is…..Ryan and I were just catching up" I said to him as he placed his arms over my shoulders.
"Hmmmm….okay. Anyways, the trial would soon start, let's go in." We turned and walked out, just then Seb paused, "good luck in there"
Ryan clenched his fist and I could see the hate in his eyes. We walked into the throne room, the elders were already seated. I took my seat and Sebastian sat down on the throne.
"We may begin" Sebastian lifted up his staff of authority. The leader of the elder group stood up.
"Alpha Sebastian, after yesterday's trial, we have decided." He paused and looked around, his eyes fixated on Ryan for a bit, "We the elders cannot let the child be part of the father or the mother. So, Fiona has to go back to her original pack to be the mother in waiting"
The time ticked slowly, my vision blurred, did I hear clearly? I had to leave Sebastian!
I stood up with rage, disrupting the trail. Everyone stared at me, Ryan had a stupid smirk on his face, Sebastian emotions hidden behind his cold aura.
"I won't leave!" I said and ran out of the throne room. Tears flowing down my cheek, I ran fast to my room, shut the door and bent down to cry.
How was I going to leave Sebastian? I love him so much. I heard a knock on the door.
"Open up, Fiona. It's Rachel"
I stood up from the floor and opened the door. Rachel stood at the door, she looked at me surprised and she had a drink in her hands.
"What's wrong?" She asked me, I threw my arms around her as I cried my eyes out. She hugged me back as she tried to calm me down.
"Did something happen during the trial?" She asked and I nodded, she pulled me towards the bed.
"Talk to me, what's wrong?" She asked me
"Ryan…"
"What happened to Ryan?" She asked me, "what about Seb?"
"Sebastian is in the throne room."
"What's going on? Please say something" she coarse to me.
"Ryan….won"
"What?" She exclaimed, "What did Sebastian say? What did he do?"
"I don't know, I ran out. I can't go with them!"
She sat down back, pulled me closer as she consoled me.
Rachel's pov
What Ella told me is slowly coming to pass. I need to put a stop to this. If Sebastian should try and go against the elders, it won't be funny.
I laid Fiona down on the bed, still consoling her as she cried crocodile tears. I stood up, went to her drink and drugged it. I picked up the drink and gave it to her.
"Drink and get some rest, I would see what Sebastian is up too"
She drank the orange juice and laid down. She still had tear stains on her face. When I looked down at her, my heart was filled with rage. Fiona's eyes fluttered slowly as she drifted off to sleep.
"You won't be the cause of my brother's downfall...witch"
I picked up the cup and walked out of her room. In the next few minutes, she should be dead and this would be over. I walked to the hospital, to let Ella know that it's over.
I opened the door to my office to see Ella lay on the bed, she turned to face me when I entered.
"How did it go? Did the king believe you?"
"I did not tell my brother, but everything you said was coming to pass and I need to get down to the trial immediately" I replied to her as I changed to something more regal.
"What about…..Fiona?" Ella asked
"She is no longer a problem. So, just stay here, I need to get to my brother before it is too late" I rushed out of the hospital, walking as fast as I could to the throne room.
"I hope I'm not too late and I can stop anything else from happening"
I opened the door to the throne room, everyone's head turned to me. Sebastian was seething with anger and Ryan was opposing him.
"What's going on?" I asked hoping I arrived just in time.
"What are you doing here, Rachel? Where's Fiona?" Sebastian asked
"I don't know where she is but I do know that whatever decision that was made by the elders cannot be overturned" I walked into the throne room slowly.
"I don't care about the stupid decision made by some bunch of corrupted elders, Fiona is not leaving my pack" Sebastian said with an air of authority.
Ryan growled as he felt disrespected, "Fiona is coming with me!" he dashed out of the throne room with rage and Sebastian followed suit in pursuit of him.
