Victor's POV
The morning air was crisp as I stood outside Sabrina's chambers, pacing back and forth. The events of the previous night played vividly in my mind—the kiss, her smile, the way her eyes softened when she looked at me. It was a side of her I rarely got to see, hidden beneath her unyielding ambition.
But today, something was wrong. My gut told me so.
The door creaked open, and Sabrina stepped out, her expression dark and guarded. She clutched a small note in her hand, her knuckles white from the grip.
"What happened?" I asked immediately, stepping closer to her.
She handed me the note without a word. I unfolded it, my eyes scanning the sharp, ominous words:
"You'll never be the Luna Queen."
My blood ran cold.
"Who sent this?" I demanded, scanning the hallway for any sign of intruders.
"I don't know," Sabrina replied, her voice steady but her eyes betraying her unease. "But they were here. In my room."
