Chapter 268 - Stolen.

Loki was dumbstruck as he looked at the card in his hand.

It had been a few days since Loki had gotten discharged from St. Mungo's. He was still in Paris with Nicholas and Prenelle because they'd insisted he remain with them at least until he was awarded the Order of Merlin medal.

Seeing their insistence, Loki gave up and stayed with them.

Fawley left not because he had to teach Hermione but because Randolph had gotten caught up in the attack on the camp and was currently undergoing rehabilitation.

Loki had met Randolph and there hadn't appeared to be a serious problem since he was a mid-sequence Beyonder which made his vitality quite strong, yet he remained in the hospital because he had taken to liking a nurse there.

Fawley had gone there to see if Randolph was serious about his relationship.

After finally escaping from Prenelle's food attack that aimed to feed him enough food so that he could last a year without it, Loki took to visit the Sefirah Castle.

As soon as Loki entered the castle he did the first thing he wished to do in these last few days.

He examined the floating rune light orb that he'd stolen directly from 'Her', the rune had a bluish glow and looked like the helmet of a knight.

'I guess I was lucky to have stolen an actual item and not a Beyonder ability from 'Her' because an ability would've only lasted about twenty minutes but stealing an item is permanent.'

'Yet, I can't believe it.'

'It can't be.'

'How did I steal this off all things.'

Slowly Loki injected his spirituality into the orb of light and caused it to crack before shattering and fading away like fireflies.

The shattering of the orb ended up dropping a physical item into Loki's hands.

Once he saw it with his own eyes, Loki's muscles tensed.

"How did I get this out of everything in the world."

"And why does 'She' have it anyway?"

With an audible *sigh* Loki finally examined the object in his hands.

In Loki's hands was a card.

It was a luxurious card that emitted a regal feeling.

On its cover was a woman standing holding her right hand high and her left hand loose. In her right hand was a double-sided white wand and on the table before her were a strange set of items, a pentacle plate, a long thin staff, a cup and a sword.

The image was clear and it represented one entity of the Tarot Cards, the-

'.....Magician.'

That wasn't directly what shocked Loki. It was what the image represented which did.

The Magician tarot card represented the other hidden pathway from this world.

'The Door pathway.'

'This is the Blasphemy card for the Door pathway.'

Loki was dumbstruck as he looked at the card in his hand.

As much as he wanted to, Loki wasn't careless enough to pour his spirituality into the card since its recent owner was not one he could take on directly.

'I bet 'She' did something to it just like 'She' did to the Moon card in LOTM.'

Instead, he activated his spirit vision and looked directly at the card.

And there it was, among the complicated rune structure that made the card function was a clearly hidden trap. One that would spring on unsuspecting strangers who carelessly poured their spirituality into it so that it could corrupt them. So that it could control them.

In Loki's view was a splendid work of art with golden runes shimmering and glowing. It barely had any mistakes that he could spot to make it even better but right in the middle of all the splendour was a blaring red organic trojan horse-like spherical substance.

It beat like a heart, waiting to attach to its owner but Loki didn't give it the choice.

'Glad that I'm in Sequence 6 now.'

'I can steal corruption.'

'Was I able to steal the card because of the law of Beyonder characteristic convergence? Perhaps the card found me, the person who is in the neighbour Error Pathway a safe bet to escape from 'Her'?'

Aiming for the only stealable thing from the Card of Blasphemy Loki swiped his hand and suddenly, floating a few inches above his hand was the corruption sealed in a ball of spirituality.

Looking at the rune on it, Loki *sighed*.

"I guess it really is 'Her' corruption."

"But what do I do with this thing now that I have it?"

Loki thought for a while but other than using it as a flash bomb to make another Beyonder instantly lose control, Loki stored it away so he could use it sometime in the future.

Looking back at the card of Blasphemy, Loki directed the Grey fog to blast the card for a while.

'Just in case there's something remaining that is waiting to kill me.'

After a few minutes of tumbling around in the sea of grey fog Loki had conjured, he stopped.

Carefully holding the card, Loki poured his spirituality into it.

The card instantly turned into a book and with just a little more spirituality, Loki found himself turning the first page.

'Sequence 9: Apprentice.'

Seeing the sequence he expected Loki frowned.

"I guess I have three cards of Blasphemy now."

"Two more than what I can use."

"What do I even do with this new one? Give someone the potion and cultivate a Beyonder of this pathway?"

"Honestly anyone from this pathway would be a great asset for my own apotheosis ritual, but it would also be a little burdensome to raise them just to usurp their power at the end."

Frowning for a few more minutes, Loki thought of everything he wanted to do and concluded that it would be good to use for his upcoming project.

With his thoughts sorted out, Loki looked towards the crimson stars while remembering the strange incident that had taken place in the World Cup camp.

'It would've been good if I could have a few allies to help me in situations like those.'

'And I doubt the sacrifice that the 'Death Eaters' performed at the World Cup camp will be the only one.'

'I think there was something you-know-who wanted to achieve and until he gets what he wants he'll probably keep performing the ritual.'

'So it'll probably be beneficial if I can send my 'blessed' to go fight in those situations and disturb the rituals while I'm at Hogwarts.'

'Should I officially start the Tarot Club of this world?'

Thinking while looking at the crimson stars that were waiting patiently to be called upon, Loki's eyes gradually firmed.

'I think I should.'
