Loki ducked low as Fleur fired a composite spell chain aimed at throwing him away from the Zouwu instead of hurting him directly since once the Zouwu went down, Loki wouldn't have any means to retaliate.
Fleur was timing her spells while hiding behind the large body of the Queen Vampyr Mosp as she remained stuck to the Runespoor's head with a simple sticking charm.
"Just give up! You can't win zthis time Loki!!" Fleur taunted while Loki barely balanced on the Zouwu that was jumping around to dodge the Runespoor's fangs and the Queen Vampyr Mosp's stinger.
"Do you really think I'll give up!? After all we've been together?! I mean do you really think I'll allow you to change your nickname from Ass or Loser to something else!?"
Fleur's brows twitched and in retaliation, she sent over elemental spells that Loki had to counter by strengthening his Protego shield.
'This isn't going to work…it doesn't seem desperate enough, she'll catch on if I keep delaying things like this.'
'But how can I make her more tense?'
'Is it time to go on a 'kamikaze' attempt?'
'This is going to hurt.'
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Loki opened his eyes and entered a state of sharp focus. With his spirituality primed, Loki began his assault.
Flipendo!
Loki started small with the knockback jinx which wouldn't send Fleur flying if she blocked it with her Protego shield but it would still cause her arms fatigue from absorbing the large force it would deliver.
Fleur blocked it with the Protego spell and tanked the force transmitted to her arms. Her special physique kept her from feeling the pain, but her eyes narrowed when she noticed the force behind the spell.
'So it haz begun. He's going to try to defeat me one lastz time.'
'Vous pouvez le faire! Fleur !' (You can do it! Fleur!)
Confringos Diffindo!
A large blade of fire erupted out of Loki's wand and tore through the air shocking Fleur and even many who were watching the fight between them as it rushed straight at the Queen Vampyr Mosp.
Fleur almost panicked but managed to hold steady by biting her lips until they bled. And then with a flick of her wand she cast her spell.
Aqua Eructo!
A sharp jet of water poured out of Fleur's wand and clashed with the fiery blade that was heading towards the Queen Vapmpyr Mosp.
The water sizzled and instantly turned into steam, further reducing the visibility in the foggy area.
Everyone thought that was going to be the end of it, but Loki had never aimed to just harm the Queen Vampyr Mosp in the first place.
As such, the rest of the fiery blade that Fleur failed to disperse managed to set fire to the trees around them.
The fog turned thick with smoke as it diffused the fiery light from the trees, but this didn't hinder their vision. Both Fleur and Loki activated the fog-see-through items they had gained from hunting creatures, to see each other better.
'He made more fog? Iz he giving up and wantz to run away?' Fleur reasoned as she tried to understand if what had happened was intentional or a fluke.
But Loki wasn't done just yet, he didn't want to give Fleur any time to think.
With a flick of his wand, Fleur suddenly felt the air around her darken. It seemed as if the shadows that danced about in the area from the sputtering flames of the trees had started to rise under Loki's command. It looked like the world was being engulfed in the maws of a corrupted beast.
Fleur quickly realised Loki was using the shadow control spell he'd used in the Second Task and quickly flicked her wand with a simple spell.
Lumos Maxima!
Almost instantly the entire fog was lit up with a bright light that dispelled all the shadows, yet Loki's happiness didn't falter, instead it only grew larger.
With Fleur blinded temporarily, Loki immediately gave the Zouwu the go-ahead to attack the Queen Vampyr Mosp and the Runespoor based on its strong sense of smell.
*Grrrr*
Fleur realised a second too late that she wasn't the target of Loki's aggression but the monsters she'd tamed. But it was already too late to save the Runespoor that was going to be chewed down by the Zouwu.
'Tsk.'
Making the best of the situation, Fleur instantly commanded the Runespoor to use its last strength to wrap around the Zouwu so that the Queen Vampyr Mosp could sting the Zouwu directly in its head.
'But z'his is fine. At least he can-'
Fleur's thoughts froze in her mind as she looked at Loki aiming a spell right at the head of the Queen Vampyr Mosp.
Her mind was filled with a dreadful proposition as she saw Loki's wand flickering with spirituality before a thick *whistling* slice formed at its end.
Argentum Velox Ferrum!
Just in the nick of time, Fleur commanded the Queen Mosp to dodge the attack that it couldn't see or sense because of the thick fog all around them.
And due to the sudden command the Queen Mosp was only able to dodge a portion of the wide-whirling-slice causing it to pay the price by allowing the spell to rip apart one of its delicate insect wings in half.
But the Queen Mosp managed to stay in the air some how all while shooting its stinger into the Zouwu's head.
With the Zouwu dead and Loki panting at the other end, Fleur stood panting herself.
The last ditch effort which Loki used to go at her had caused her to feel spent and a little afraid.
She was worried that Loki had some last trick up his sleeve to kick up a fuss again so she continued to watch him using her fog see through item.
The Queen Mosp struggled to remain in air and tried its best to obey Fleur's commands.
Fleur glanced at Loki before fixing her posture on the Queen Mosp as she spoke a few parting words, "It waz a goood fight." Fleur said, "But I win this time and I will give you the name Thief!"
Fleur thought Loki was depressed to have lost to her like she was when she lost to him and so she didn't feel unhappy when she didn't find Loki grumbling or arguing with her like he usually did.
But as she left, she did catch the words, "Too late…" leave his lips.
"True. You are too late to be able to do anything. I hope you give up." Fleur said and with that, she flew on her mount towards Team Blue's Nexus, slowly with the help of the Queen Vampyr Mosp that was bobbing in the air, doing its best to stay afloat.
Harry and Krum's fight had ended too, with Krum finally outlasting Harry since all he had to do was strengthen his protego shield while Harry had to launch continuous attacks.
Harry was spent and worried since the large noises from Fleur and Loki's fight had stopped echoing through the forest. He had seen the sudden flames that arose in the forest but he didn't know who had cast them so he remained worried.
"Give up. You lose." Krum said seeing Harry panting while he himself panted because of the amount of spirituality he had to expend to protect himself.
Finally, Fleur reached Team Blue's Nexus on the back of the stumbling and bumbling Queen Vampyr Mosp which started to attack the Nexus with her legs since she no longer had a stinger.
It was a slow process, but Fleur could see the small damage mounting up and reducing the health bar on the Nexus.
'Hmm…about fifteen minutes is all it should take to break zhe Nexoos.'
But the next thing everyone saw in front of them caused them to freeze.
A notification like any other popped up in front of everyone, soundlessly and clearly. Yet its contents left everyone on the field frozen and shocked.
Well everyone except Loki who predicted it all to happen eventually.
"Congratulations to Team Blue for breaking Team Red's Nexus first."
"Team Blue Wins!"
