As Judith slept, the Parabeast crept up to her. It didn't take too long before it reached her. Crawling onto the branch she had sat on, it made its way to open skin. Then, finding her left arm, the Parabeast opened its mouth so its fangs protruded, then it took aim and in a split second, it struck.
"Uh!" Judith woke with a jolt that made her fall off the tree.
*SLAM*
She crashed into the ground, falling back first on a tree branch that had fallen her a while ago.
Pain overcame Judith from the fall, but she had yet to feel the pain from the bite. Still dazed, she looked at the tree, and found a creature crawling away.
Suddenly, the pain from her fall culminated into a burst when the bite came into effect. She now felt the burn in her arm and what felt like shards of glass tearing through her skin.
"Ahhh." Judith groaned a she rolled over, gripping her left arm.
