Chapter 77 - LXXVII: Fighting Back

Judith held her breath and readied herself. Lightning began to spark in the impostor's hand, which made Judith's fear to rise higher. She had hoped he would use fire, but instead he had to use a very fast Alkalis.

There was nothing she could really do about it, so without wasting any time, Judith lunged forward, not wanting to think further or let her fear weigh her down. Seconds into her dash toward him, he let his Lightning ripple.

Being saved by a microsecond reaction, Judith leaped to the side, successfully evading the attack. But as she leaped, she made sure to dig her heels into the dirt when she was coming down, so as to ensure she didn't roll onto the ground. Then, turning her sights to the Tethered, she watched as he likewise leaped to the side so as to evade the Recoil of his attack.

During this moment, the world had slowed to a crawl and Judith could feel her heart breaking through her rib cage. This moment, this moment meant it all.
