Judith paid closer attention to Tsai when she reached this part.
"At the age of um...thirteen, my grandmother fell ill. She died shortly after." Tsai said this with a flat and somewhat neutral tone.
Hearing this, something in Judith's heart snapped and she began to feel a different kind of pain.
"During that period of my life...I uh, really struggled a lot. I did...a lot of things to eat. And I was always sad. But it was during this period in my life that I also decided, that I was tired of being unhappy. I was tired of letting the world get to me, I...I didn't want to allow the world to be happy at my sorrow. So instead, I made it angry at my happiness. Or, one could say I went mad." Tsai said with a chuckle. After which, she said no more.
Turning away from Judith, Tsai stared at the window and wished she could see the White Phoenix, but all she saw was more castle.
"I'm...very sorry Tsai." Judith said.
