Chapter 29 - Finding a job part. 2

Upon entering Nexus Caffè, I am greeted by an atmosphere of palpable energy. The rousing music mixes with the laughter and chatter of the customers, creating a familiar atmosphere.

The walls are decorated with posters and memorabilia from "Nexus World," which give a vibrant atmosphere, celebrating the love for this incredible virtual world.

As I take in the lively atmosphere of Nexus Caffè, I notice a woman standing near one of the gaming stations. She is tall and slender, with long brown hair that falls in soft waves over her shoulders. Her eyes, a deep green, are bright with emotion, but also lined with deep concern. She is wearing a gray sweatshirt with the "Nexus World" logo and ripped jeans, a casual look that reflects her passion for the game. Her hands shake slightly as she approaches a player, and her face expresses a vulnerability that is striking.

"Please," he begins, his voice trembling with urgency, "come back and play with us! We really need you. Without you, our Nexus Café won't make it."

The young man on the other end is of medium height, with dark hair and a scruffy appearance. His eyes, a deep dark blue, reflect the exhaustion of nights spent playing. He wears a black t-shirt with an abstract design, paired with comfortable pants and worn sneakers. He sighs deeply, frustration evident on his face.

"I'm sorry," he replies, his tone heavy with emotion. "I can't come back. This place is going out of business, and I don't have the resources to keep losing here!"

Her words hit like a punch. He takes a step closer, his gaze pleading. "But you're one of the best! Your talent can really make a difference. If you leave, everything we've built could vanish."

He looks at her, his eyes burning with frustration. "I know, but it's not just about talent! It's so frustrating, you know? We need investment, more people to come play. There are fewer and fewer customers here, and the future is uncertain! I can't hope to save this place alone!"

The woman, her face lined with disappointment, tries to remain calm. "You're not alone. We're all in this together. Every time you play, you bring in new customers. Every time you win, you reinvigorate our spirits. Remember when we held that tournament? The room was full and everyone had a great time. We can do it again!"

He shakes his head, his restless demeanor betraying his anguish. "But that tournament was just a small solution! I can't live on memories! People don't come back, and I can't keep playing in the hope of attracting customers! We have to face reality, and the reality is that this place is in crisis!"

The woman lowers her gaze, sadness gripping her heart. "You're the only one who can bring people back. Please think again. This place is special, not just to us, but to everyone who comes here. It's a home, a refuge."

There's a moment of silence between them, tense. The other customers continue playing, unaware of this invisible struggle.

The young man sighs, but his frustration surfaces again. "I'm so sorry!" he explodes, his voice rising, almost a scream. "But I have to think about myself! I have other things to deal with. Maybe one day things will get better, but I can't just sit here and watch everything fall apart! I can't keep hoping for a failed dream to come true!"

His words hurt the woman, who stops, her heart pounding. "I don't want this to end here," she says, fighting back tears. "Do you remember when we shared the victory? The laughter, the new friendships... everything we built together? I don't want to lose all of that."
