Wang Dahai recoiled as if electrocuted, immediately withdrawing his hand.
Wu Qiangwei heard the noise and looked up, visibly taken aback when she saw Wang Dahai.
"Aunt, you... what are you doing here?" Lin Wanqiu quickly approached, her tone somewhat unnatural.
Wang Dahai bowed slightly, trying to conceal his physical reaction.
"I'm here to see you about something," Wu Qiangwei said.
"Oh, I'll go take a shower first."
Lin Wanqiu hurried back to her room, grabbed her clothes, and entered the bathroom.
Wang Dahai watched her and suddenly felt a bit awkward, unsure whether he should leave or stay.
Wu Qiangwei didn't seem interested in talking to him and simply held her teacup, sipping occasionally.
"Sister-in-law, I'm going to head back," Wang Dahai called out toward the bathroom, deciding it was best to leave.
"Oh, take care on the road."
Lin Wanqiu's voice came from the bathroom.
