The new year is almost upon us, and I wish that all of you can travel the four seas like a dragon and spread scales in all directions!
In late August 2023, I registered as a new writer and started writing a book.
The first book I wrote was one hundred thousand words. I applied for a contract but was not accepted.
The failure did not discourage me, but it made me realize that I am not a natural-born writer who could achieve instant fame.
I had to start from the ground up, learn to delve into the intricacies, to have even a slight possibility of gaining momentum someday in the future.
In the following two months, I began learning how to climb the rankings, how to write beginnings, and how to develop plots.
I was rejected three times, but finally, I passed the internal review by the editor.
While I was grateful to the editor for pulling me up, I actually felt quite guilty for not living up to the editor's recognition.
After all, the performance of this book is truly nothing to boast about, and I hope the editor doesn't get too upset...
But all in all, the efforts I put in during these two months were not in vain; I fortunately made some progress and achieved modest results.
I hope that in the new year, I can continue to make progress and advance step by step along with all my readers.
Keep improving day by day, and day after day, let there be renewal.
Please do not give up on reaching greater heights just because trees grow slowly.
After all, the best time to plant a tree was ten years ago, and the next best time is now.
This is my favorite saying, which I have used to motivate myself countless times.
I am now sharing it with all my fellow readers, hoping it will inspire us together.
