Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

"Let's let her go, you bitch!" Kelvin yelled at Sabrina, trying his best to pull Sabrina's hands from Alicia's hair.

After struggling for a few minutes, he finally rescued Alicia before her hair could be plucked out. This time, Alicia's head was throbbing with pain, her nose also bleeding.

"Kelvin," Sabrina called out his name weakly, still trying to make up excuses for him in her head. There was no way Kelvin could betray her; Alicia was the one who seduced and deceived her boyfriend into hurting her. She probably thought. "Kelvin, on't be deceived by this bitch. She is just using you."

"Using me? Just the same way I am using you?" Her boyfriend asked sarcastically, making Alicia burst into laughter. "I thought you were a quick-witted lady, too bad I expected too much from you."

"You should have caught on when I was never present at any of our anniversaries. And guess what, I had always been with Alicia. The lady who my heart would continue to beat for until the last moment of my life," Kelvin continued, smiling at Alicia.

Unable to understand what Kelvin meant, Sabrina asked, "What did you mean? Have you been dating her even before I knew you?"

"Yes, I have. We started dating when we were twelve. Also, who would choose to date a stripper and an adopted daughter like you? It seems you have forgotten who you truly are," Kelvin's harsh words made hot tears roll down her cheeks. "If not for the fact that you assisted me with my education fees, do you think I would have brought myself to date you?"

"Kelvin, so you are finally showing your true colors? But it is too late though. Alicia will be getting married to a wealthy man, abandoning you. And also, know I will make you pay for drugging and making me waste ten years of my life," she said weakly, her voice barely audible. More tears streamed down her face as she turned to face her sister. "Alicia, what will you do if our parents find out about this?"

Alicia burst into laughter at Sabrina's question, which already has an obvious answer. "What do you think they will do when they know about Kelvin and me? They also accepted the idea of selling you off to an ex-convict rapist. The fact that you survived made me doubt if it was just luck or—"

Sabrina did not wait for Alicia to complete her words before she stormed away. She knew her sister never lies about their parents. If Alicia said her parents supported her, then they really did. But why? She devoted twenty years to impressing them and making sure to help them with the money she earns from strip-dancing and other work as a stripper.

"Young Master Atticus, are you sure what you are doing isn't wrong? If Grandpa finds out about this, he will get angry at you," his secretary informed him after waking him up.

Atticus opened his eyes slowly before he sat up. "What am I doing that is wrong? Have you forgotten what the doctor said?"

Three years ago, he was diagnosed with hypogonadism. The doctor said there is only a 0.5% assurance that he can experience an erection. But last night was different.

It felt different. No ladies have ever made him experience an erection except Sabrina Kieran. How could he let her go, knowing he was her only salvation?

If the news about his condition reaches the public, he might lose everything he worked for. He has to get healed before that happens.

"You, the heir to the Sawyer family, are getting married to an adopted daughter who is a stripper. Not only will it endanger your inheritance, but it will give the gossipers something to gossip about," his secretary informed him of the outcome of his action.

"Not as if they wouldn't gossip about me if I keep acting like a saint," Atticus said calmly. "I don't care about their words. What I care about is getting healed."

"If you insist—"

"Inform my grandfather about my wedding. I will be getting married to the family's daughter, who he has always wanted as in-laws," he instructed.

His secretary bowed before leaving.

Left alone, he couldn't help but think about last night. He couldn't forget about Sabrina every time he tried to. The fact that she was still a virgin until this moment when she was one of the oldest club's strippers was still a mystery to him.

"Sir, a lady—"

"Let her in," he cut the guard off.

Sabrina, who had been trying her best to get into the suite, felt relieved after being summoned in.

"Have you made up your mind?"

She swallowed the lump in her throat upon hearing his question. "No, I haven't."

"Then why are you here, Sabrina?" Atticus asked, not blinking.

"I am here to check if you are the kind of man I need," she replied, her voice rather too harsh or cold.

Atticus smiled darkly before he climbed down his bed. He took a few steps closer to her before grabbing her by the shoulder. "Just tell me the kind of man you want. I will be that kind of man for you."

"I want a man who can help me with my revenge."

Her words made him chuckle. She is such a daring lady. "I will be that man for you."

"Since you agreed, can I see the marriage documents I signed last night?" She inquired politely.

The man, who never knew Sabrina could actually sound this polite, only shook his head before walking to the drawer.

He returned to Sabrina with the document. He was hesitant to give her until she asked for it.

"Won't you give me?"

"Why not? This is it," Atticus replied coldly before giving her the documents.

Sabrina walked down to the chair adjacent to the bed before sitting down. Her legs crossed, she patiently read through the documents starting from the front page.

Her eyes widened, and the documents slipped from her hands as she saw the name of the person she was getting married to. She is getting married to her sister's fiance. This can't happen!
