Seeing how quiet she was, Atticus chuckled at her reaction. "You don't have to worry about me liking you because there is nothing to like about you."
"Really?" Sabrina scoffed. "Not as if there is anything to like about you either," she said before returning to the patient's bed.
"You are going to be discharged tomorrow," Atticus informed her before leaving her ward.
Outside her ward, he raised his gaze to look Francis in the eyes before speaking, "If a single strand of her hair gets hurt, just know you are dead."
"I will make sure the security team protects her," Francis said, assuring Atticus of Sabrina's safety.
After listening to Francis's words, Atticus walked away. He got into his car before driving home.
Upon arriving at Sawyer's mansion, an incoming call made him hesitate to park.
"Sir, I am sorry, there isn't any footage of Mrs. Atticus drinking or eating a substance from the hotel. Also, the footage from the dressing room is a video of Sabrina and her stylist. We found nothing suspicious," the event hall's manager reported.
"Thank you, Mr. Benson," Atticus muttered disappointedly before hanging up.
He pulled over before alighting from the car.
Entering the living room, Atticus headed to his room without regarding the presence of his step-sister and mother who were watching their favorite shows.
"I can't believe they are no longer hiding their real intention," he muttered to himself as he recalled how caring his stepmom once was.
Everyone still doubted that Vivian wasn't his mother. She treated him as her son while trying her best to kick him from Sawyer's mansion behind the shadow.
'I can't believe you still couldn't recognize me,' he muttered inwardly as his gaze met with the photograph on his table.
The photograph was the picture of Atticus and the girl he once loved. The girl who disappeared without a trace fifteen years ago.
"Kathryna, just wait... I am going to inflict on them thrice the pain they made you feel. I have been waiting for this moment for the past five years..."
...
At Kieran's house, reporters were everywhere. If not for the security men, the reporters would have entered the main house and surrounded the whole place like a swarm of bees.
They won't leave until the Kieran family provides them with an answer. Of course, none of the reporters want to be left out from the most trending story.
Even the slightest information matters to them. All they need is validation for their doubts.
"Where is that bastard! Didn't I clearly tell her not to go anywhere?" Mr. Kieran, who exposed Sabrina's identity as a stripper, felt disappointed after finding out Alicia had been parading herself as Sabrina.
To sum it all up, their stock price had plummet to nothing. Total nothing. It only takes a matter of time before the company experiences bankruptcy.
"Father... I... am sorry," Alicia stuttered, her voice shaky.
Given the angry look on the face of her father who managed to sneak into the house, she made sure not to provoke him further.
"You are sorry? Can your sorry do anything? Don't you know the harm you caused not just me but our company! Because of your foolishness, we are about to lose Kieran Group to an outsider!" Martin yelled, his vein almost popping out.
After his family, nothing matters to him more than his company. He sacrificed many things to build Kieran Holdings into what it is today.
"Sweetheart, let's not be hard on Alicia. She was only trying to help. It wasn't entirely her fault," Seeing the transfer of anger, Hailey, Alicia's mother, butted in.
"Wasn't her fault? Then it must be yours!" Martin half-yelled at her. "Different videos of Alicia and Kenny are online. Even videos of our last conversation with Sabrina were among the videos the reporter posted."
"We had the most trending scandal ever in Silverton's history," Martin added, disappointed by the disgrace his daughter's action had brought to his family.
"If a reporter has a video of our last conversation with Sabrina, that means Sabrina is the person who tipped them," Mrs. Kieran muttered with her brow raised.
Alicia, who knew the truth about what happened, spoke up before her father could. "The reporter wasn't tipped by Sabrina."
"Then who?" Martin asked with curiosity laced in his voice, sounding as if there is something his daughter was hiding from him.
"Atticus tipped the reporters, that was the reason he held the press conference. This is just a warning to us," Alicia replied calmly. Seeing the confused look on her parents' faces, she continued. "Atticus had been stalking us. He knows better than anyone. He also has hidden cameras and bugs in this house."
"What? Are you sure about that? So that idiot is listening to our conversation right now?" Hailey asked anxiously.
Alicia chuckled at her mother's reaction. "Haha, I already had the technicians remove the bugs and hidden cameras."
"Why would the heir to Sawyer Group stalk us? They had everything more than us. I doubt if you are right," Martin doubted.
"If you don't believe me, then listen to this yourself," Alicia said before playing the voice record of Atticus's threat.
Martin ruffled his hair, wondering what could be the reason for Atticus's action. After much thought, he turned to face his daughter.
"Alicia," he called out. "I want you to find out the reason he stalked our family. I believe you can do that and mind you, if you fail to achieve a successful mission, I would erase your name from our family list."
Alicia's lips curled into a dark smile after hearing her father's order. "Sure, I will keep that in mind."
