Anna's POV
Nicholas dropped me at home and I was not expecting the scene waiting for me inside.
Rafe was discussing with Dad in a low tone.
What the hell is he doing here?
The last time I spoke or saw him was the day we went on a date before the news of our engagement went viral.
I'm grateful it was all a rumor.
"Anna, can you come here quickly?" Mom appeared at the top of the stairs and gestured for me to follow her.
I didn't even notice she was standing there.
"Good morning Mom" I greeted softly but full of curiosity.
I am supposed to go to Lily's place to check on her right now but I'm getting delayed.
"Where were you last night?" She asked. Her eyes appraised me.
"Huh?
I was with a friend?" I replied with a frown.
"The king had ordered your father and Chairman Bolton to end their feud.
And also to continue with their initial agreement" she explained calmly.
