Chapter 17
Mel
The rest of my first week at Prime academy went well without me catching sight of anymore wolves or being pranked. I tried to avoid Andrea as much as possible but she seemed a little bit torn apart to notice me. I couldn't even imagin what had happened to her.
I tried to avoid Freddy and Naomi too. I had a little crush on Freddy but I can't. He has a girlfriend who had been nice to me after I returned her cloths when mine got stained from the prank.
I poundered on an idea for the rest of the week—and here it how it goes:
I've decided not to bother asking Sadie about my necklace, I'm just going to take it back. Taking it back won't be stealing because she 'stole' it in the first place. I'm not going to 'steal it' I'm going to 'take it back'.
I had that mission in mind when I woke up in the morning. Maia and Naia were sound asleep while Sadie didn't come back yesterday. I braised myself and tiptoed to Sadie compartment. Thank heavens it wasn't locked, I yipped in happiness before letting myself in.
I let myself in and slid close the door. I glanced around her neatly organized stuffs, the bed was made perfectly, she had a little book shelve that houses her books. Her reading table was neat and even her mirror wasn't foggy. She's such a clean bitch.
I got down to business, looking into the first three drawers attached to her reading table but there was no necklace, the forth and last one was locked, I had to use an hairpin to pick the lock, I came prepared.
No necklace either. I almost slammed it shut to search somewhere else when my eyes caught caught of a picture. The picture wasn't framed and it sat there, clean and clear on a paper print.
There was two young children in the picture, I stared closely at it.
The two children there was Nathan and Sadie. Nathan and Sadie?, I stared in confusion, what?. Of all the pairs in the world, those shaky ones?. Although they were both young, I could tell with their faces, hair and facial marks.
What's up with those two?!. I didn't have time for worrying and poke nosing. Under the picture was a Gray emerald bracelet. Each emerald gray was braced with little red and green stones on random specs, it was beautiful.
I grabbed the bracket and dropped it in my pocket. This bracelet appears priceless, It must be special for her to lock it up. If she knows I took it she'll have to return my necklace to have it.
I began searching everywhere else but my search and effort was futile, I couldn't find my necklace anywhere. I sure hope she hasn't sold it or done something stupid with it.
"What the fuck?" I jumped on my feet as the compartment door suddenly opened and Sadie walked inside glaring at me in shock and anger mixed with hatred.
I remained unfazed, "Give me back my necklace. You have no idea what that necklace means to me. I want it back!" I said to her.
"I don't have your stupid ugly necklace. How dare you invade my privacy!."
"Same way you invaded mine and stole something from me you thief" I spat as she approached me.
"Get outt you loser. You're a thief, get out!" She shrieked dropping the purse she was holding on her bed.
I was suddenly enraged. I wasn't a thief or a loser. She made me invade her privacy to search for my necklace. It wasn't my fault.
I felt overwhelmed by anger. I was outraged. As I stared at her yelling to my face for me to get out, I could fell my check puffing. The familiar puff at Gambi's birthday party, the familiar puff of anger that made red fur spurt out of my skin.
At Sadie stared at me, she took a few steps back and gasped, "Your hair!."
My brain couldn't process what she said, as I was getting extremely angry again. As angry as I got seeing Ivy with Gambi, as angry as I got that made my wolf show itself.
"Are you a wolf?" Sadie shrieked in the tiniest voice and I was forced to look down at myself. My joints were starting to hurt, I heard a snap on both of my elbows.
"Took you long enough!" I heard a loud scoff inside my head. I've heard this voice before. The voice of my wolf from the first time I ever wolfed out.
Sadie as now on the floor staring at me with her mouth wide open, she shifted away from me till her back was against the wall.
I knew what was happening, my wolf was coming out again.
Feeling extreme pain in all parts of my body I forced my way out of Sadie's compartment. I felt very hot and dizzy and I needed to explode. There was something inside me that was struggling to come out, scratching and snapping at my joints.
I forced my way back into my compartment and fell on the floor almost crying out in pain. My bones began to twist in the most unimaginable way possible that I screamed this time. I heard the sound of cloth ripping apart and my body enlarging.
Oh my gosh, what I had dread since forever was actually happening. I was wolfing out. I gave one final scream as I gave in completely and transformed.
Red fur ripping out of my body, my hands and feet turning to paws. I was on all fours.
"Told ya you were a werewolf."
I jumped as a voice cut into my thoughts, I snapped my head around to see Scarlet standing inside my room holding my jacket from last night with a proud smirk on her face.
"Nice to have a red sister finally" she said jumping to seat on my bed casually.
I was still struggling to catch my breath after what just happened. My wolf is out! My wolf is out!.
"It's an honor to finally meet the one who's been keeping me back for years" my wolf said to me inside my head.
I didn't know what to say or what to do. I just sat there sprawl on the floor unable to check myself out, I was so scared and shocked.
"You're even more furrier than me. Girl I'm jealous" Scarlet stood up from her bed to run her hand through my fur making my quickly cover my face with my paws which was strange.
"Oh. First time glitters?. I understand. C'mon there's nothing to be afraid of. You look wonderful. Come big girl" she huffed me up on my paws. I was still breathing hard afraid of moving.
"There you go" she turned me towards the full length mirror.
The first word that slipped out of my mouth was "Wow!."
"I know. I know. I'm a wow factor" she admired her short dress clinging to her petite shape in the mirror and flipped her red hair proudly.
I turned my eyes from her and to myself, or should I say my wolf?. She had so much in common to Alina, Sasha's Wolf from that day.
She was also extremely fury with deep red eyes but she was larger than Alina. Her ears stood on end sharply.
"Wait. What's that?" Scarlet stopped checking herself out and a frown formed on her lips, "on your neckline?."
I'd seen it too. My dad had it too. A moon birthmark on the nape of our neck, red in color. My cousin, Mason has it too.
I didn't let Scarlet get a close look for a reason I want even sure of. I relaxed and made myself shrink back to my human self. In a few seconds I was on my knee in front of the mirror peeping at my naked self.
"What was it?" Scarlet asked referring to the mark and throwing me my duvet.
"It—it was nothing."
"You're as old as this and this is the first time you're changing?. Better call home and tell em the good news" she sat down on my bed comfortably as if we were friends.
