Lucy stared at Landon's message for a long time. Her heartbeat was racing against her ribcage and breathing seemed to become harder to do.
This was the first time they had contacted each other for the past three years. Although Landon didn't know it was her, Lucy still felt suffocated by the thought that he was getting closer to her.
She stared at the message for a bit longer until her breathing calmed down.
Lucy felt lightheaded, but she resisted the surge of emotions that were about to spill through by ignoring him.
She didn't need distractions right now. What Lucy needed to do was finish all her plans so she could go back to her daughter quickly.
