Quinn didn't even flinch, he stared at his jealous cousin as he just laughed inwardly. "Who or what made you think I wanted to hire her? She wanted a favour and I gave her one, she isn't even your wife yet" Quinn said as Azrael clenched his fists angrily.
"Oh shut up, whatever stunt you're trying to pull keep it far away from her, got it?" Azrael said coldly, Quinn was known to bring out the worse in him but he wasn't going to allow that.
"Is that why you came here, Azrael?" Quinn said as he opened his laptop, Azrael didn't want to stay here and keep arguing with Quinn so he turned walking out only to see his assistant waiting for him.
"You left me downstairs" Ian, Azrael's assistant and friend said as he wiped his forehead, Azrael rolled his eyes as he walked away with Ian following behind him. He needed to find that sly bitch after pulling a stunt in that café she headed over here.
Melissa opened her eyes to a tall man standing in front of her, but when she looked clearly, she saw Azrael standing in front of her with his personal assistant, and few other workers were standing behind him.
"What is the meaning of this Azrael?" Melissa asked as she stood up, she wobbled a bit due to how long she had been seating on the floor and ended up in Azrael's arm.
"Seems like you couldn't wait to throw yourself into the arms of your dear husband" Azrael's whispered against Melissa's ear as she stood to straight. She looked at the people behind her and they all gave her death stares as she couldn't help but glare at Azrael who smirked at her.
"She's just another slut trying to steal the CEO away from mina" someone from the crowd whispered, but that whisper wasn't a low one because Melissa could hear it clearly.
"You should just leave, look at what they're saying?" Melissa said to Azrael who rolled his eyes as he took a step away from her. "I didn't come here to see you Melissa, Quinn is my cousin after all. Don't think too highly of yourself" Azrael said as he stared at her with nothing but disgust.
"Come on Ian" with that Azrael left with Ian, leaving Melissa standing there, she was so embarrassed that her cheeks flushed red. The crowd soon disappeared as Melissa stomped her foot on the ground angrily, Azrael was really getting on her nerves and she would have to speak to Lydia,
Azrael got to his condo, yes, apart from the family house he had his own condo where he comes to anytime he was angry or upset, yes he probably looked like someone who doesn't have a job but he was the CEO and head of his family company. Due to his recent illness he was asked to lay off stress for a while but he planned on resuming work soon to avoid him loosing his mind.
As he entered the house, a foreign scent suddenly drifted into his nose and he felt it again. His heart was pounding within his chest as his mind throbbed in pain. He fell in his knees with a thud as he gnashed his teeths in agony, Ian who just finished parking his car, walked in only to meet his boss on the floor. "C-call Lydia" Azrael managed to force out as Ian quickly scrambled through his pocket looking for his phone.
As the sky darkened, Melissa finally finished her work as she packed up the things, she was the only one left on this floor. Because she stayed passed closing time to get something's done.
When she heard footsteps approaching and this person wasn't walking exactly, he or she was running or rather they. Melissa opened the door and almost fainted when she saw Lydia standing outside.
"You scared me" Melissa said as she stepped out of her office locking it, Lydia didn't say anything but just grabbed Melissa's hand pulling her along.
"What's going on Lydia?" Melissa asked when they were in the car. "Azrael, he slipped back into his old form and he stabbed Ian, his assistant" Lydia said as tears flowed down her cheeks, it was always like this when Azrael switched personalities.
"Oh my gosh, but if he stabbed his assistant then why are we going there? Do you want to get us killed?" Melissa said but Lydia was tired of explaining so when they got there, everything would be clear for Melissa.
Carson's condo was located in a secluded part of the city, so when they arrived, Lydia grabbed Melissa's hand as they raced inside. "I'm sorry about this Lissa" Lydia said as she shoved her inside locking the door right after.
Melissa screamed as she banged on the door, she didn't want to get hurt, she still hasn't gotten her revenge. Melissa felt as though she was being watched and when she turned she heard a growl that made her scream again.
"Lydia, let me out I don't want to die" she screamed but she was soon slammed against that door as a body pressed into hers.
"A-azrael" she whispered as she stared at him, he looked at her but his gaze wasn't warm or playful as always it was cold and hostile. "Mmhmm" Azrael moaned out softly as he sniffed Melissa's hair.
"You like how I smell?" Melissa asked him but he just stared up at her cutely as he nodded slowly but somehow unsure of what he was doing. Melissa's hand slowly moved to Azrael's hair as she rubbed it slowly, it was as if she was petting a big wolf.
"Come on, let's go seat over there" Melissa said as she walked away from Azrael but he only pulled her back into his arms. "I'm not going anywhere azzy, come in" Melissa pulled him with her as she pushed him to sit on the couch, she suddenly had a plan as she straddled him.
"Do mummy a favour azzy and kiss me"
