"that's one way to great me father" Melissa laughed sarcastically as she leaned on her dressing table.
"Oh shut up you bitch, you got married to Azrael without letting anyone know. If not for the news and reporters we wouldn't have known that you got married. You're such a stupid girl, that man was supposed to marry Kara not you" Melissa's father said, he could feel his heart racing in his ribcage, he was fuming with rage.
"Is that so...well, I don't give a damn, is that why you called me or it's something else?" Melissa asked prepared to hang up, she heard her father sigh but she just stared at her mirror boredly.
"We want to invite you to your grandmother's birthday in two days time and we would love if you bring Azrael along" Her father said as she almost burst out laughing, no wonder he called her.
"Excuse me dad, but don't you have Azrael's number why not call him and tell him than going through his wife. That's absurd" Melissa said as he slammed his fists on the desk in his room, Melissa loved provoking her father because it made her feel happy and fulfilled in a way.
"Oh shut up, I'm being really nice Melissa. Get your husband and bring him to the evening dinner or else, I'll destroy that shabby orphanage" her dad threatened before hanging up. Melissa stared at the phone is shock, she couldn't believe her father would threaten her with an orphanage.
The orphanage once belonged to her aunt but after her aunt passed away, another lady had been working there and Melissa would do anything to keep those children safe.
"Who was that?" Lydia suddenly snapped Melissa out of her thoughts and it was then that Melissa realised that Lydia was in her room, she frowned as she turned to face her.
"Why are you still here" Melissa asked as Lydia smiled briefly before taking a step closer to her.
"That's your father?" Lydia asked as Melissa nodded helplessly, her own father that didn't care about her in whatever way. "Why not tell Azrael and see what he says?" Lydia said as Melissa stared at her through the mirror somehow hesitant, she hated when Azrael stared at her with that cold eyes of him even though it was sexy it was definitely weird.
"I don't know Lydia" Melissa said, Lydia stared at her for a while, before tapping her shoulder and leaving the room.
Azrael sat in his study as he popped the buttons of his shirt open, leaving his chest bare as he worked, since he couldn't go to the office, he worked from home. As he was working, his fingers suddenly stopped moving as his mind drifted off to when he kissed Melissa. The way her soft lips moved against him, drove him crazy but he couldn't ravish her in front of everyone. Since their honeymoon was coming up, he couldn't help but wonder what would happen during that period.
' what the hell Azrael' he quickly cautioned himself, but he knew that this whole marriage had the aim of them having a baby, that was one of the reasons why he couldn't end up falling in love with her. When his personality switched the last time and she called him azzy, he could hear her somewhere in there and it made his heart race that there was someone out there who could calm him down.
"What do you want?" Azrael snapped out of his thoughts as he looked at the door, he had noticed someone out there for a while but the person didn't knock.
"Uh, Azrael it's me...can I come in?" Melissa said as Azrael rolled his eyes before nodding. "Come in"
Melissa walked into the study and Azrael's eyes almost popped out of it's sockets. Melissa was wearing a blue short that stopped just above her plump ass and an ash cropped sweater.
"Why are you dressed like this?" Azrael said as he stared at her, Melissa didn't see anything wrong with her dressing, she turned around slowly, looking at her back in the process. Azrael stared at her and almost lost the last bits of self control holding him back.
"Lydia said it looked good and besides the maids are having my dress cleaned up, today's laundry day" Melissa said as she stepped closer to Azrael as she stood beside him. "So, my father called today"
"That asshole, why did he call?" Azrael said, he didn't care what beef he had with Melissa but he genuinely hated that family and he didn't know why.
"He said he wants you to come for my grandmother's birthday party in the next two days. I didn't want to do it...but he threatened to hurt some kids that live in my aunt's orphanage, I didn't know what to do that's why I thought about it" Melissa said to Azrael, she had never asked him for something since they had met each other this was the first.
"I don't like children either but they're innocent compared to your dad, so we'll go just for your sake" Azrael said as he looked at Melissa, his eyes trailed from her eyes down to her lips, then her neck, her breasts and it landed on the carving on her stomach, it had already healed up but the words were still bold enough for you to see it.
"Mine" Azrael said out by mistake making Melissa cock her head at him in confusion. "Uh...what did you just say?" She asked as Azrael snapped out of his gaze, turning back to his computer.
As his hands moved swiftly on it, Melissa stared at what he was doing and noticed that something was off about the figures. "You miscalculated something around that angle" Melissa blurted out, realising what she had done, she palmed her hand over her mouth as she cautioned herself.
"What did you say?" Azrael asked coldly but Melissa just shook her head. "I'll take my leave now" Melissa said as she immediately started leaving but Azrael grabbed her hand pulling her closer to him as she fell on his lap.
