Chapter 12 - Romance...

Vincent pov

Vincent's face turned red with anger, yelling at the hacker.

"What do you mean you can't hack into a common phone?! This isn't the first, second, or third time I've hired a hacker, and all of you come up with different excuses! You're telling me that you can't even open a simple phone?! That's stupid! You should just quit your job, like right now!"

"I-I'm sorry, sir. It's just that this phone has some kind of advanced security system that I can't crack. I've tried everything, but nothing's working, maybe you should find another person."

Vincent's voice rose even higher.

"Advanced security system?! Where are you getting such lies from? You mean to tell me that some stupid phone has better security than my entire operation?! Do whatever you have to do to make me gain access to the phone or you're fired!"

The hacker voice low. "I-I'll try again, sir. But I can't guarantee you a success"

Vincent's expression turned even darker, "You'd better promise me something, you idiot! or you'll be sorry. Do you understand?"

The hacker nodded slightly,

"Y-yes, sir. I understand".

Vincent's expression turned sour as he yelled,

"Get out! Just Get out of my sight! You're useless!".

The hacker gave a slight bow and exited from the room.

Vincent's eyes blazed with anger..

"You think you can be playing hard to get Emily, but you are getting your self entangled with fire. And soon, something huge is going to come up on you. You'll regret the day you ever crossed me!"

Emily's pov

Emily stepped out into the cold morning air, her long suit jacket wrapped tightly around her shoulders. Her black hair lay calm against her back, the cool breeze kept scattering her hair, obstructing her view from taking a clearer picture of her damaged window.

Finally, she got the shot she wanted. The flash of the camera shone brightly, capturing the image. With a nod of satisfaction, Emily lowered the camera and turned to leave.

August pov

August was out in the fields, watering the cattle in the early morning sun. He wore his typical ranch attire, a worn cowboy hat and scuffed boots. As he was working he heard the sound of a VSR engine.

He stopped what he was doing, and looked up to see his dad's black sports car pulling up to the ranch.

August's eyes narrowed in surprise. His dad, James, and his lawyer Rachel had come to pay a visit.

James was sitting in the passenger seat.

August's mind racing with thoughts,as he wondered what they were doing here. As the car came to a stop, August walked over to meet them.

"What brings you two out here?" he asked, blinking his eyes from the reflection of the sun.

James gave a forced smile. "Just thought I'd come out and see how my ranch is doing, son. You know, keep an eye on things."

August raised an eyebrow. "You're supposed to be resting so you could respond to medications Dad. Not checking up on me."

James waved a hand. "I'm fine, son. It's not going to affect anything, remember I have been indoors for so long, so I thought coming to the ranch will be a great idea, and I need to make sure things are running smoothly around here."

"How come, you never mentioned your visit to me?". August asked with a suspicious look.

"Surprised visit.." James said playing a sly smile.

August couldn't place a hand that something was going on. But he tried to confuse his instincts.

"Rachel! go ahead and check over everything. I want a full report." James ordered.

Rachel nodded and began walking towards the ranch buildings, her eyes scanning the whole place.

August frowned, feeling a sense of unease.

"What are you looking for dad? And why did he need the lawyer to check over everything?.

James kept mute, pretending not to hear August.

As Rachel disappeared into the buildings, James turned to August.

"So, son, how's everything been going? Any problems I should know about?" He said changing the discussion.

August shrugged, trying to hide his annoyance. "Everything's fine, Dad. Just the usual ranch work."

James nodded, his eyes narrowing. "Good. Good. I'm glad to hear that, but why are you doing the work yourself, I thought we had workers."

"Yeah, actually two resigned, while one of the workers is on leave." August spoke.

"What did you mean! Why did you send them a resignation letter? This work is too hectic, and you let them go on leave when there is lots to do in the ranch!." James sneered with annoyance.

" Dad! You remember the incident that I told you about. So two had to resign due to fear, while Charlie I gave him a leave before he returns."

"Oh! Yeah!! I almost forgot. I will tell Rachel to send eighteen tight security to secure the ranch." James concluded.

"No...Dad.."

But August was interrupted by his dad.

"My words are finally." He said his voice stern.

Rachel returned to the car where James was sitting, looking concerned. "Sire, we need to talk."

James looked up at her, his eyes clouded with concern.

"What is it, Rachel? I'm not exactly in top shape to handle any more stress."

Rachel hesitated, her eyes flicking to August whose gaze was cold.

"It's about the ranch, Sire. I found some strange cattle and belongings. They don't belong to the blackwood."

James's expression turned uneasy.

"What are you talking about?

Rachel's voice was firm. "August may know what he's doing, but that doesn't change the fact that there are strange cattle and equipment on our land. And from what I saw, it looks like they are from Whispering Creek ranch."

James's eyes widened in shock. "Emily's ranch? You mean our family's sworn enemy?"

Rachel nodded. "The same Emily. And from what I saw, it looks like August is working with her."

James's face paled, his eyes filled with a mix of shock and curiosity.

"No, that can't be. August would never betray me and the family like that." James's voice was laced with disbelief. "

August, what's going on here? James said turning to August. His face filled with rage.

"Rachel is saying that the Whispering Creek ranch cattle and equipment are on our land."

August looked up, his expression casual.

"Oh, that? Yeah, I merged our herds together temporarily. Some saboteur were getting into her ranch because her security measures are weak. But don't worry, she'll sort it out soon and return to her own ranch."

James's eyes narrowed with fury, his voice tight.

"Really? When did you become this generous, are you cast on a spell uhh!!?. His voice rising with anger

"Why are you helping our enemy, August? Emily's family has been trying to ruin us for generations. Are you some kind of errand boy for them?"

August shrugged, his tone nonchalant.

"Hey dad don't mix things up,I'm not only trying to help her out,it's going to benefit us too. We get to use her land and resources, and she gets our expertise and security. It's a win-win."

James's face red, his eyes flashing with anger.

"A win-win you say? You're consorting with our enemy, August. Have you lost your mind!!!?".

James yelled with anger, his eyes blazing with fury. "August, how could you be so stupid?!the same family that took what belongs to us years ago!"

August stood his ground, his expression calm.

"Dad, I'm just trying to help her out. It's a business deal, nothing more."

James's voice was dangerous. "Where is she? I want to talk to her."

August shrugged. "She went out for sortings something."

"You know what?" James's eyes narrowed. "I don't want her association with our ranch. She's going to take us down, just like her grandfather did to us in the past."

August frowned. "Dad, that's not fair, stop leaving with such guilt, Emily doesn't have any evil trait."

James's voice was cold. "I don't care!" He screamed "I'll be back tomorrow, and if her cattle and equipment are not moved out,I'll file a case of embezzlement against her. You can be sure of that."

Rachel!! He called his voice sharp.

Entered the car. "Let's move out of here, We've got what we needed." His eyes still blazing with anger.

Rachel nodded.

"Okay, let's go. I'll deal with this mess tomorrow."

The car zoomed off, leaving August standing alone in the fields, unsure of what to do next.

Emily's pov

Emily extended her hand, a smile on her face.

"Thanks so much for your time, sir. I really appreciate it. I'll be expecting your workers by the end of tomorrow to start the repairs."

The insurance adjuster, an older man with a kind face, took her hand in a firm handshake.

"You're welcome, Emily. I'll make sure to send them over as soon as possible.Just remember to give me a call tomorrow to remind me, okay?

"You know we've got a lot on our plate right now."

Emily nodded, adjusting the handle of her threatening to fall off her shoulder.

"Sure,I'll definitely call. Thanks again for your help."

With a final smile, Emily turned and walked away from the insurance office, heading towards the credit card stand to withdraw some cash. She inserted her card and entered her PIN, but the machine beeped and flashed "Incorrect credit card" on the screen.

Emily tried again, but the machine refused to accept her card. Just as she was about to try for the third time, when she noticed a guy standing behind her, wearing a hoodie and with his face obscured by the hood. She turned to ask for his help, but before she could even open her mouth, he quickly pulled away, and disappeared into the crowd.

Emily's eyes widened in shock as she stared after him, her mind racing.

"That guy looked so much like Rodriguez, who had been causing trouble for me and my ranch."

Emily thought, still contemplating what had just happened, Emily heard the horn of the bus arriving, she quickly boarded it, taking a seat alongside the other passengers. Then, slowly the bus pulled away from the curb, Emily shook off the feelings she had in the credit card stand.

Rodriguez POV

"Hello?" Jake answered, his voice low as he didn't recognize the number.

"Hi, this is the guy you met last time near the mall," the voice on the other end said.

Jake's mind rioting as he tried to place the voice. "Which guy? I can't remember," he said his tone playing dumb.

"The new town guy from the mall," the voice replied, chuckling.

Jake's face softened."Oh, you! I thought you wouldn't call. So, how are you? Enjoying our lovely town and its rules?".

Jake asked, his sarcasm evident.

The voice on the other end laughed. "A little bit. It's quite weird. But I was thinking, if I can come over to visit? I'm finding the town a bit boring, and I don't have any friends yet."

Jake raised an eyebrow. "You want to visit me? We just met once, and you want to come to my home?"

"Yeah, I know it's too sudden, but I really need some human interaction. And you seemed nice. Plus, you know how hard it is for newbies in this town." .

Jake sighed."Fine, you can come over. But I'm at the mall right now, so you'll have to meet me here. Then we can head to my place."

"Thanks so much! I'll be right there,"he said, sounding relieved.

"Hurry up, I was almost done shopping when you called."

"Got it, thanks again!" The line went dead, and Jake returned his attention to the seller, collecting his credit card and walking off to the car boot to put away his shopping.

Vincent Pov

Vincent emerged from the shower room, a towel draped over his shoulder, drying his hair. His guard boy, Jephter approached him, holding out his phone.

"Sire, your P.A. wants to speak with you," his guard boy said, his eyes gazing downward.

Vincent took the phone, his voice firm. "Hello, Johnson."

"Hello, sir," his P.A. replied.I've scheduled a meeting with the ranch president for you."

Vincent's interest piqued. "That's fine, good job. When are we scheduled to meet?".

"Tomorrow at 8:00 a.m., sir," his P.A. replied.

Vincent's mind raced with possibilities. "Any updates on Emily and August?" he asked, his tone calm.

"No, sir. Nothing yet," his P.A. replied.

Vincent's smirk grew wider. "Keep your eyes open for any updates on those two. We'll talk later."

He ended the call, his eyes fixed on his reflection in the mirror.

"You can leave now." Vincent spoke.

Jephter gave a bow and left his presence.

He continued to dry his hair, his mind already turning to the meeting tomorrow.

Jake pov

Jake smiled widely, gesturing with his hands. "Welcome to my humble abode."

Rodriguez chuckled, his eyes scanning the room. "You've got a nice place, man."

Jake nodded, leading him to the sitting room. "Thanks, man. Make yourself at home."

As they settled in,Rodriguez's eyes continued to roam the room, taking in the decorations and furnishings.

"Seems like you live with your girlfriend here?" He finally asked, directing towards a dress on the balcony.

Jake sighed, rolling his eyes. "That's my brother's stupid girlfriend's dress. She's always leaving her stuff everywhere."

Rodriguez raised an eyebrow. "Seems like you guys had a fight?"

Jake shook his head. "More than that. She's trying to turn my brother against his family, but her plans have already failed. Enough about her, though. What can I offer you?" He rolled his eyes.

Rodriguez smiled. "You live with your brother?"

Jake nodded.

"Not just my brother, my whole family. Well, except for my mom, she's...gone."

Rodriguez's expression turned sympathetic. "Sorry about your loss. You have a really nice place, though."

Jake laughed, standing up. "Seems like you won't stop complimenting my house! Let me get you something to drink."

He left and shortly returned with two glasses and a bottle of wine, motioning for Rodriguez to take a cup "Come on, let's drink and relax."

Rodriguez smiled, taking a seat and accepting a glass of wine. "Thanks, man. This tastes really nice."

Jake and Rodriguez sat comfortably in the living room, cheering to their new friendship then sipped their wine and engaged in conversation.

"Sorry I couldn't introduce myself properly earlier, I'm Jake," he said, extending his hand.

Rodriguez shook it firmly. "I'm Rodriguez. Nice to meet you again."

They kept chatting and drinking for a while, discussing from their jobs to their hobbies.

Jake got along so fast noticing how easy it was to talk to Rodriguez. As they got into deeper conversation,

Jake's expression turned sarcastic."You know, my family is really weird. Can you imagine,my dad requested that I find him a masseuse."

Rodriguez raised an eyebrow. "That is unusual. But hey, maybe he must have a reason for that."

Jake laughed. "Yeah, maybe. But it's just so...ridiculous. I mean, can't he just go to a stuck his butt on his bed, why trying to have a good massage."

Rodriguez shrugged. "Well, maybe he wants something more advanced, remember his human. And who knows, maybe I can help you out with that." His said rolling his eyes.

Jake's eyes lit up in surprise.

"Really? Are you serious?"...

Rodriguez nodded. "Sure, why not? As long as the pay is good, and because we're friends now".

Jake voice laced in amazement.....

"Waw! I didn't know I could get a masseuse so easily. I think we can work something out. My dad would be thrilled to have a personal masseuse." His face lacing with surprises.

Rodriguez smiled back. "I'm glad I can help. And who knows, maybe I'll even get to meet your weird family." His teased..

Jake chuckled. "Yeah, that would be something. But hey, at least the wine is good, right?"

Rodriguez raised his glass in agreement. "Definitely. good is an understatement,Cheers to new friends and weird families."

Jake laughed and clinked his glass against Rodriguez's."Cheers to that!".

As they sipped their wine, Jake couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. Now it seemed like one problem was solved.

"So, Rodriguez, tell me more about yourself,"

Jake said, his tone casual.

"What do you do for a living?"

Rodriguez leaned back in his chair, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Well, I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. I've done everything from construction work to daily jobs. But my real passion is massage therapy." He lied.

Jake's eyes widened in surprise. "No way!. He said hitting him slightly on the shoulder.

"That's exactly what my dad needs. I think I met you for a reason Rodriguez."

Rodriguez chuckled. "I'm just a man with a lot of skills, Jake. But I'm glad I can be of help to you. Cause you were nice to me."When do you think I should resume duties?"

Jake grinned stroking his chin, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

"How about tomorrow? I'll set up a time with my dad and when everything is sorted out, I will give you a call."

Rodriguez nodded."Sounds like a nice plan, Jake. I won't hesitate to be here I promise."

As they finished their wine and the night drew to a close, Jake couldn't help but feel a sense of relief he had eased the boredom with his newly found friend Rodriguez.

Emily's pov

"Hey, how did it go?" August asked, exhaustion etched on his face.

"It was fine," Emily replied, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I didn't know it was going to be easy and fast. They'll be coming over tomorrow to fix my windows." She said giggling

As they approached the house entrance, August knocked on the door, but no one answered. He tried again, still no response. He used his spare keys to open the door.

"Where could Jake have gone to?" August wondered aloud, pulling off his shoes. "I feel so tired and stressed."

Emily smiled sympathetically. "Sorry, I had to let you do all the work yourself today. But tomorrow, you can stay home while I take my turn working."

August shook his head, heading towards the bedroom. "No way, it's not safe for you to go out alone. I'll just rest, it's not like I'm poisoned or something."

Emily's voice turned sultry. "Okay, you had to do what hard works you were not used to, because of me. So do you want me to give you a massage in the shower?." Smile playing in her lip.

August's eyes lit up. "Yeah, yeah, you're in the spirit." He grabbed her waist and pulled her into the room,

Emily giggled as they disappeared into the bedroom. The door paved way as they entered the room, August couldn't resist Emily's charm. He pushed her gently towards the bed, his eyes burning with desire.

"Let's start now," he whispered, his voice husky and gentle his warm breath caressing her skin. He leaned in making advances to kiss her, but Emily turned her face away, laughing.

"Bad boy," she teased, her eyes sparkling with shyness, her voice husky with playful resistance. "Remember you are tired and stressed. Go shower first."

August persisted, his lips tracing a path down her body, leaving a trail of kisses on her skin.

"I can tell this is the best medicine for stress," he murmured, his breath sending shivers down her spine,

He began with his fingers tracing the curves of her body, revealing her thighs as his fingers raised the short skirt wrapped on her waist.

Emily giggled slightly, trying to resist, but August's kisses were unresisted making her whole body weak. She couldn't help but respond, her body entangled into his hot embrace. Her lips responding slightly as she surrendered to his affection.

They kissed intensively,as the kissing continued, August's hands roamed all her body, sending lots of pleasure through her skin.

Emily's fingers stuck in his hair, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss. Their tongues danced together, their lips enjoying themselves.

Emily let out a moan of pleasure. The room was silent. The sound of their kiss filled the room

Their lips met in a tender, yet fervent kiss, their bodies against each other. The only sound was the sweet melody of their lips savouring each other.

Their embrace was warm, their eyes met, lacing with love and lust.Time stood still, the sweetness of their kisses, was intensed.

After a while, August gently broke away from the kiss, his hand playfully spanking her butt.

Emily blushed, her eyes sparkling with love, her cheeks flushing with a soft pink hue.

"We're not done yet, August," she whispered, her voice husky, her lips curling into a smile. She pulled him back into a deeper, more passionate kiss, their lips meeting with a tender intensity. Their embrace intensified, their bodies pressing against each other.

August's fingers traced tantalizing /succulent paths along her body, sending shivers down her spine his fingers moved from her shirt collar down to her waist. His touch sent a pleasurable moan out of her mouth.

Emily was in paradise, forgotten in the warmth of the moment. As they kissed, Emily's hands caressed August's back and hair, pulling him closer, their bodies pressed together.August felt the same way, taking in all the pleasure. Emily savoured August lip her eyes closed filling the sensation and sweetness of the kiss, and the love that they shared.

The intimate moment was interrupted by a knock at the door. "August!, your dad is calling you."

Jake announced from the other side of the door.

August sighed, reluctantly pulling away from Emily's embrace.

"I'm coming, just give me a minute," he called out, his eyes locked on Emily's as he slowly got out of bed. He turned back to her, his fingers tracing her jawline.

"You're my best medicine, Emily," he whispered, his voice filled with affection.

Emily's cheeks flushed,as she blushed.

"You're my best man, August."

She replied, her voice low,she spoke still laying on the bed like she needed more from her best man.

August smiled, his eyes filled with pleasure.

"Okay, I'll go see what my dad wants. I'll just go answer him, okay? Don't miss me too much."

He pecked her lips quickly and left the room.

From inside the bedroom, Emily spoke audibly, "What should I prepare for you, then?"

August's voice drifted back in. to "You already served me breakfast in bed, Emily. You were delicious, that's enough for me,save yourself the stress of making me any other meal."

Emily closed her eyes, a soft smile playing on her lips as she recalled the passionate moments they shared.

"Silly boy," she murmured, her fingers tracing her lips, her body still tingling from their intimacy.

August pov

"Hey, Dad, you sent for me?" August asked, entering the room.

"Ah, yes, I did," his father replied, his eyes fixed on August.

"So what plans have you made to take away her cattle and equipment to her stolen ranch..?"

Jake chimed in. " Wait! Dad,did August merge our ranch with Emily's?"

August rolled his eyes."Shut up!Jake. Who are you to interfere?"

Jake ignored August and continued...

"Are you sure this Emily girl didn't use jazz on you? Cause I wonder how stupid and foolish you are to even think of such a thing. August, everything has boundaries, you need to curtail some things."

August's face reddened with anger.

"Who do you think you are? I'm your elder brother, and you'll accord me that respect. And as for that ranch, I shouldn't catch you daring to interfere. If you want to test my patience, then try me."

The argument escalated, with August and Jake's voices rising.

James intervened.

"Stop! Stop!!" They ignored him, continuing the argument.

Stop it!!!!!". James screamed jerking August and Jake and the argument ceased immediately.

"I didn't call you both to fight," James said, his eyes fixed on Jake.

"August was the one that started it." Jake defended

"Shut up, Jake!!" eyes narrowed, his voice firm. "August, I asked you, what plans do you have to take away Emily's stolen property?".

"Dad, Emily's ranch is not a stolen ranch. We've to grow over from this dirty thought that the Wilsons took away our ranch, but we don't know how true it is...."

Jake interrupted. "Why didn't Emily consider that before? This your so-called relationship has come to a stop."

August took a step toward jake, but Jake quickly moved to the other end of the room.

"I've told you to shut up or leave!"James, spoke with anger. "Back to you, August," James continued turning to August direction.

"Don't test my patience. Whatever I do that doesn't suit you is not my concern. My decision stands, and that's final. When I return to the ranch and find any strange cattle or people, I will file a case immediately."

August's face reddened with anger. "Dad, I'm in charge of the ranch, and I'll disassociate only when her things get better. And besides, she's given the cattle to me for free."

He lied, trying to make the story appeasing to his father.

James's face softened, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

"That's my boy! August, the only boy that had the character of his father unlike your useless brother over there." He rolled his eye when he locked with his son Jake.

August laughed, giving Jake a wink, who scowled in response.

"I think I need a masseuse," James requested, his eyes fixed on August, his voice laced with a hint of seriousness..

"Dad, a masseuse for your leg?" August asked, raising an eyebrow, his tone laced with concern.

"Yes! I have asked Jake to find one, but he just laughed about it, he couldn't bring anyone because he is so lazy."

James replied, his voice laced with annoyance. "Really? No need to worry I'll just make that public on my page handle,"

August spoke, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

But Jake cut in, his voice in amusement.

"Hold on, favorable son of dad, I have seen someone already, dad." He smirked, his eyes gleaming with malice.

August smiled, his face darkening with disapproval.

"Hmmm... who knows what you hired? Maybe you just go by the road side pick up someone from the bush to act as a masseuse. You know you're filled with mischief, Jake."

He shook his head, his eyes filled with disbelief.

James raised his hands, intervening, his voice calm and soothing.

"Hey, that's okay. So, Jake, who is the person you hired for the work?"

He asked, his eyes fixed on Jake.

Jake replied, his smile widening, "My friend, dad. He has a masseuse experience,he's going to resume work tomorrow." He spoke, his eyes gleaming with confidence.

August snorted, his face twisted in disbelief.

"Did you request his work experience? Not believing the words of his mouth, Are you sure he's a real masseuse?" He asked, his voice laced with skepticism.

Jake sighed, his eyes filled with malice, eyeing August slightly

"Enough of the interrogation. August! When he resumes tomorrow, if you don't like my friend, then you find another person. I hate being stressed."

He rubbed his temples.

August laughed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You, Jake, have a friend? Who could be friends with someone like you? Are you sure the person knows who you really are?"

He asked, his eyes gleaming with amusement, his head shaking in disbelief.

Jake's face reddened with vexation, his eyes flashing with disgust.

"Yes, a very good and sensible friend, unlike you and your rubbish Emi.... I don't blame you. You can deal with it, rubbish."

He defended, his voice laced with venom.

August smirked, his face twisted in a mocking smile. "You're lucky you didn't complete the word and aside that,I guess I'm trying to analyze the kind of person that friend will be. He'll be nothing, but worse than you. Cause you can't keep a gentle guy like me as a friend."

August chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

Jake gave a loud hiss, his eyes flashing with anger. "You think you're so perfect, August? You think you're so much better than me uhhh?"

He took a step forward, his fists clenched, his eyes reddened with anger.

James intervened, his voice firm.

"That's enough, Jake. You both can just leave. I think August made my day a bit blissful. I want to rest.

I've heard enough of you both already."

He waved his hand, dismissing them, his eyes closed.

"Good night, Dad," August and Jake chimed in unison, exiting the room.

But their argument didn't exit. They continued to squabble and spat at each other until the terminal of their room. With a loud bang, they slammed the door shut, jolting James who was already in the dream land back to reality.

"Can you two let me sleep?!" James shouted from his room, his voice embittered.

Emily gave a small laugh, her voice gentle.

"You and Jake always at each other's throats."

August gaze malicious, his voice filled with disdain. "Jake has no respect. If not for Dad, I would have given him a piece of my mind."

Emily chuckled, her lips sparkling with amusement. "Come to bed, it's late already."

Emily said her voice soft with concern,

"August, what your dad said to you, hope I'm not the cause of the tension."

August smiled giving her reassurance, his eyes filled with affection.

"No, my love, you're not actually the cause. Everything is fine. Dad was just stressing about the ranch and Jake's antics."

Emily's face relaxed. "Oh, I was worried I had caused a problem." She gave a sigh of relief.

August pulled her close, his arms wrapping around her in a gentle embrace. "No, my love. You're the solution to all my problems. Don't worry, everything will be okay."

Emily smiled, her heart filled with relief and peace. "I trust you, August. You always make things right."

August gave a small smile. "So how about we continue..". He teased.

"Continue what?" Emily eyes widened. " Please I'm not ready for your jokes."

"You must have to be ready, cause I'm ready to feast on you." August said and bumped closer to Emily touching the strands of her hair his breath intensed.

Emily chuckled. She cupped his cheek and kissed him. "See what the time says,is midnight already. We have to sleep we have task ahead of us."

August hands trailed down to her waist pulling her closer.

" Your wish is my command." He said his voice husky as he returned the kiss.

August switched off the light immediately and they got to bed.

Emily's head on his chest, August hands wrapped around her body as they drifted off to sleep.
