"Quite hell of a journey to corn a man..."
Immediately after getting offline from a very nervous phone conversation, Nadia Browne took a deep breathe to relax her strained nerves.
"I've felt it in his voice... he can't get over me," with high hopes, based on guts she thought, "and I'm going to stick on him like glue, make sure he gets addicted to me more; better off he regrets his marriage with time."
Committedly Nadia promised herself.
Suddenly, as the thinking gesture wore her face more, with an indecisive state of mind she walked towards the door and touched its handle to open, but then changed her mind.
"She is my best friend...., of course she will know because I won't sneak forever," right at the door standing, Nadia felt a need to talk to Sonia about something really important as best friends who never hid anything from eachother.
As intentions developed in her mind, Nadia began to strip off her clothes while walking; from the purple flowered blouse to the pair of blue ripped jeans, displaying her body curves packaged so well in a black knicker and bra, squeezing the body tightly.
As the bra lost grip off her chest, untied and thrown down on the floor, "tomorrow is also a day, let me not disturb her sleep tonight," the knicker followed right after, sliding down her thighs, through the legs and finally kicked off.
Nadia was a single young lady who stayed alone and habitually, the freedom of living carelessly with her things was a daily routine. Her dirty clothes including underwears were scattered down on the floor.
She entered into the bathroom.
Socked in a bathtub full of foam water, while rubbing her skin slowly with a soft sponge, she portrayed a scheming smile, determined to subdue Bob Lee, despite his wedding which was around the corner.
Treasuring her son with her mentality that he was forever young, Bob Lee's mother was excessively sensitive and protective of him. She devotedly poked her nose in his privacy.
When she got into her room after supper, she approached a sound device and pressed the play button. The voice talking was Bob Lee's, in a private phone conversation with Nadia, the call he had just received minutes ago.
Besides hiring a private investigator to keep tracks on her son, installing a voice recorder in his room was yet another way she used to gother information about him; interfering with his privacy, knowing almost everything that went on with his life behind closed doors.
From her phone gallery as she scrolled, among the many photos sent by her private investigator, she observantly looked at the beautiful young lady in a specific picture smiling together with her son.
"Nadia Browne!" Bob Lee's mother blurted.
Destined for the altar, today was the awaited day of Ishtar and Bob Lee to take their vows.
Infront of prominent guests including friends, family, well wishers and elites, in a vermilion tuxedo the gloom Bob Lee sent his hand to recieve his bride Ishtar, whose face was fully veiled, at the altar.
Ishtar, elegantly dressed in a white flowered wedding gown that hugged the ground, kicked gently up the altar stairs and smoothly held in Bob Lee's hand in honour.
Blushing, he opened the veil to look at his beautiful tressure. Perfectly laid on Ishtar's face was the makeup which multiplied her beauty.
After the "I do's," a wedding ring fitted well on his and her finger. The newly married couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife, igniting a big round of applause which filled the air.
In cheer, the married couple threw a flower bouquet in the air to bless a female among the guests who wished to experience such a magical moment next.
Sonia could not believe that she was actually the blessed one among all when she grabbed the bouquet. She opened her eyes widely in a suprised gaze at everyone including her just married boss and wifey standing happily at the altar.
She found everyone happily, wishing her a good luck. However, at the moment Sonia didn't have a boyfriend in her life.
Every table was loaded with good cheer as a cake was cut. The Dj played a nice selection of love songs which touched people's hearts to dance. With wine glasses and cocktails in hand, guests greatly cheered and mingled for the rest of the evening.
Nadia, sitting on a chair next to her bedroom window up in the apartment, impatiently had her eyes outside through the wide window. As oversleeping was among her undeniable habits, she slept beyond her own programme and missed talking to Sonia during day time.
With a burning desire to inform Sonia about something important, Nadia had to wait for her to return from the wedding.
However, she had tiredly began to doss off.
A little more cheerful, with a flower bouquet in the hand, Sonia, in a red gown which touched her somewhat chubby sized body, was taxied back to the apartment late that night.
With instincts, Nadia sluggishly opened her tired eyes on a taxicab which was leaving the apartment compound, "Oh, she's back!"
She jumped off the chair, hurried as though time had caught her up for a job interview, freshened up and got on her way to meet Sonia, in her apartment.
"Knock knock," usually two gentle knocks in a row is what she gives, but this time round it was a series of urgent knocks pounding against the door, desperately.
Not intentionally to deny her off her peace but it turned out to be the case. Inside, as Sonia was about to relax her buttocks down on the sofa from a long day, suddenly the pounding startled her.
"What the h....!" So peaced off, Sonia hurried and got the door, "oh, Nadia! It's wonder you still awake _ I thought it was someone else seeking for my audience this late night."
"I'm awake because I needed to talk to you before tomorrow comes, " she said while she walked inside, "oh my goodness!" Nadia could not believe her eyes allover a sudden when she saw a bouquet sitting on the sofa, "you mean the good luck caught you? But you don't even have a boyfriend yet!" Nadia was suprised.
"I think we are now on the same page; both single ladies... Who knows, if you agreed to come with me at the wedding this blessing would have landed on you!" Sonia said.
"Ain't you happy?"
"Is you who desperately want to get married _ It's obvious your love life is alarming than mine," however, Nadia wasn't hurt since these were their usual talks as best friends.
She sighed instead and responded, "Point of correction, you and I are craving for marriage; meaning it's alarming for both of us," Nadia couldn't tolerate dying in the movie alone.
"By the way, I've not had a lover for so long.... Now, I want to prove whether the magic really works; whether I'm next on the altar dressed up in a lovely gown..., exchanging vows with Mr handsome...," Sonia fantasized with eyes closed on blushing cheeks.
When Nadia looked at Sonia fantasizing, her mind flipped to the major reason she visited.
"I think am in love with someone's husband," she said suddenly and it sounded like a joke to her friend Sonia.
Sonia opened her eyes out of day dreaming, wondering, "among all things, we agreed not to do drugs."
"I'm serious!" She spoke in an up-front tone, assuring her.
"The last time I saw you like this was two years ago. You seriously assured me of how you were done with dating young men who were so stressful, narrating how your red light finally turned green; how you had got yourself an older lover with high sense of maturity _ and if am not mistaken, this was Marlon, your current Ex boyfriend."
"This is different Sonia."
"Oh..., you're now attracted to married men!" Sonia talked agitatedly.
"It depends on how you perceive it," Nadia was unbothered.
A married man is someone's man Nadia; it is stealing! And if you insist on dating any, say bye bye to your blessings," Sonia didn't have any kind words.
"I dated him first... she stole him from me!" Nadia spoke aggressively.
"How do you know? Tell me, how are you sure they weren't together then?" Intelligently, Sonia argued.
"What matters is; he loved me dearly."
"Does he love you now? And if he does, why did he end with her?" Sonia couldn't allow any table to go unturned. She asked Knowledgeably.
Nadia began to figure out on how to explain what exactly happened. Sonia's eyes were fully locked, gazing intently at her, waiting for answers.
"Alright, briefly, I was approached by this guy in the cinema a month ago. As magnificent as he was, I stared while he gazed. 'Hi, I'm called Lee,' he said, 'call me Nadia,' I replied. Next, we exchanged contacts and four days later I found myself with him in a noble hotel massaging all night long."
"You mean you cheated on Marlon! And you kept it a secret from me?!" Once a sneak peek story, turned out a shocking confession. Sonia gazed in disbelief.
"Yes I cheated because he lied to me!"
"Is that an excuse? It doesn't change the fact that you were in a relationship!"
A strict young lady with mature principles is who Sonia was. She felt so disappointed in her best friend, "I don't think I know you any more Nadia."
"Are you hating me now?" Worriedly, Nadia asked.
