Lumina's Dome, Kingdom of Castile
"I will consult with my sisters. Tell Rodrigo to hold on for 3 days, and I will prepare to shift my Dome to the Castillo. What better way to bring the war to the interloper's doorstep." replied Lumina resolutely.
Tomas just nodded at what the healer had said. He didn't have any idea how to deal with the interloper or what the interloper was. This was the first time that he had heard of this creature. He was hesitant to ask the healer about this because he saw her buzzing in and out of the room.
He remained seated as Lumina plucked a golden leaf from a random glowing tree in her garden. She then blew a trilling tune from the leaf. Tomas was treated to another anomaly as he saw various golden orbs of floating light line up in an orderly manner in front of the healer.
He saw Lumina speak in a thrilling language as if it was that of the birds, and the orbs bobbed up and down as if they understood her orders. She then grabbed something from the purse tied to her waist. It was a glittery powder that she scattered to the orderly orbs.
Once the powder touched them, the orbs glowed brighter before disappearing before him and the healer. Lumina dusted her hands and the remnants of the glitter powder fell to the pavement in front of her. Wherever the glittery powder landed, sprouts bloomed immediately as if given a growth tonic.
Tomas can only stare gobsmacked at the wonders before him. Seeing his wide-eyed look, Lumina chuckled and said "There are many mysteries in the world that you would yet know boy. The living God we serve and revere, the creator of all, is omnipotent. Follow him and don't lose your faith and you will bear witness to many of his wonders."
"Come now, have some tea inside while we wait for the messages of my sisters," Lumina told him.
"Umm… But sister Lumina, did you say we need to wait for three days? Umm.. I think I need to go back and inform my master about your instructions." Tomas awkwardly told the healer.
"You're a shy one, are you? Don't worry about Rodrigo. I already told one of the sprites to pay him a visit. And did I ever tell you that a month here in my Dome is 1 hour in your realm?" Lumina asked him.
Without waiting for his reply, she proceeded to tell him "Ah, well, we have been busy. What did Rodrigo teach you by the way? You look so wide-eyed. Like an innocent lamb waiting for the wolf to pounce on him."
"Mostly forms of combat and the Tongues. I can now fluently read and write Aramaic, and can recognize a few characters from the Angel's Tongue." Tomas told her honestly.
"What about the history of the realms? Before Genesis happened? Did he tell you anything about it?" Lumina asked him.
"He mentioned it to me, but he told me my faith is not enough for me to know the whole story," Tomas replied.
"Hmmm.. If it were the olden times, I would suggest you go to a cave and isolate yourself. By then, I knew that He would speak with you about the realms once you tame your mind and heart. That's how we Lightworkers usually get our enlightenment." She said, as she busily prepared tea in her kitchen.
"However, times are different. The dark clouds are looming and all the realms are affected. I'm afraid that you need to grow up fast young sapling." she said in a grave tone.
Tomas on the other hand remained quiet as he did not know what or how to reply to the healer. He drank the offered tea, lost in his thoughts. He thought of his companion, Damian the tainted, as he heard his mentor once say. He thought about the identity of the interloper who made everyone worried. He thought about the possessed Queen and the unborn babes in her belly.
He thought many things, but never his future. Tomas was the kind of person who never worried about the future, but now, he is starting to ponder the track his life should take. He shouldn't wander aimlessly, being shaped by whoever held his hand at the moment.
He was so deep in thought that he failed to notice that he was sipping air. He mechanically put the teacup in his mouth and held it. The healer let him be, as she knew what no one else knew. This young man in front of her is a sword. Whose sword shall he be, the river of Pishon hasn't been revealed yet.
That day, in Lumina's Dome, both young and old were lost in their own thoughts.
