Dedication
This book is dedicated to God, my parents, Jo An and Edwin. Thank you for the inspiration, thank you for the encouragement, and thank you for having my back.
This is for our shared love of horror movies and family. Here's to creating more memories together with Migs and Buddy!
To God Be The Glory!
Author's Note
Various plots inspired this story. The first inspiration was taken from an episode of a Filipino paranormal podcast channel on YouTube called Ang Ninuno. Another inspiration was taken by the various theories about the existence of the mythical land of gold called Ophir. The existence of the Seven Realms or Dimension was also taken into account as well as the various mythical creatures in the bible, theology, and urban legends of the different countries of the world. The last inspiration was taken from the movie called the Pope's Exorcist, regarding the Spanish Inquisition and the inquisitor Torquemada.
This story, in any way, does not portray real events that happened in history. This is purely based on this author's imagination based on historical events. Any similarities in name, event, or place, are purely based on the author's imagination, though, being a historical and paranormal fiction, it may include some name-drops from famous historical figures on that time setting, however, other characters will have no semblance to real life. I will add a note if the character is a famous historical figure. Another note would be, that their actions (famous historical figures), or the reason for their actions as described in the novel do not, in any way represent their decisions at that exact date and time.
THIS IS FICTION.
Lastly, being Filipino, I want to showcase and highlight some local lore and legends (before the colonization of the Spaniards happened). Thus, I will name-drop famous Gods and goddesses. Don't worry, I will provide a footnote and a tidbit of info about them once they appear.
I hope you will enjoy this epic story.
Sincerely,
Anya
P.S. Although English is one of our official languages, I would like to tender my advance apologies for any grammatical mistakes that I may make. I will strive to become a better writer and would appreciate it if you could point out any typos or grammatical errors. I may exercise my creative rights though, if I deem the error necessary to the story progression. Thank you again.
P.S.S. If you have any book cover suggestions, I would greatly welcome them. Thank you.
